19.01.2022 France eMotion: It all starts tomorrow at the Alliance Française de Brisbane in West End. France eMotion is a virtual tour of France and the result of a long artistic tradition, inspiring artists and photographers all over the world who have described and captured landscapes. This travel-inspired exhibition consists of 35 diptyques, divided into 4 chapters: From one Arch to Another, O Saisons, O Châteaux, The Dream World of Museums and Metamorphasis. Each diptyque take us on... a journey through time and space. The virtual reality tour was created by Julie Stephen Chheng and Thomas Pons. To give a playful and poetic dimension to the whole experience, a virtual figure moves and metamorphoses through each of the photos. The work of photographs blends into graphic design, bringing together the real and the imaginary that leads to an interesting voyage through space and time. In order to fully experience the tour, you will need to follow these simple steps: 1. Download the free app France eMotion from the Apple App Store or Google Play (don't worry, it's free). 2. Allow access to your camera. 3. Focus on the photos and embark on your virtual tour of France's greatest cultural sites. Bon Voyage! Who remembers the film Intouchables? It's such a touching, moving film that can't help but make you feel good, even whilst depicting a presumably difficult scenario. It proves that anything is possible. Today, we would like to share a scene that involves infectious dancing - dancing like nobody is watching, but doing so in a way that gets everyone immersed. Noël simply would not be the same without the adorned Christmas tree - each one unique - and many of us will be putting up our own very soon! We thought we would would start the countdown to Christmas by sharing this stunning, fairytale-like Christmas tree that makes us dream - it comes from none other than the renowned Galeries Lafayette in Paris! What a magical sight it is! Of course, all our thoughts go to all the people in France that have been forced into lockdown for many, many, many weeks. Did you know that restaurants and cafes will only be able to reopen on 20th January 2021 if all goes well? How lucky we are here in Australia and in particular in Brisbane!

01.01.2022 SUPERBE CUISINE - MERCI! Exactly one month ago today, we were spoiled with two incroyable masterclasses dedicated to French cooking - thanks to Novotel Brisbane South Bank . (did you know that this week the hotel was named "Best Tourism and Leisure Development" in the Property Council of Australia Innovation and Excellence Awards.) And it was wonderful to learn new recipes, try new dishes, and uncover a collection of useful new techniques to bring to our kitchens.
