18.01.2022 Hands up who loves unicorns? Today is the launch of the Great Australian Storybook Collection and Thelma the Unicorn is the star! Head out to your local newsage...nt or IGA to grab your newspaper and free copy of the book, along with a free Collector Case to kick-start your collection! In the meantime, heres a little bit about Thelma... Thelma dreams of being a glamorous unicorn. Then in a rare pink and glitter-filled moment of fate (were sure its environmentally friendly glitter of course), Thelmas wish comes true. She rises to instant international stardom, but at an unexpected cost. Tip for families You can bring the story to life at home and encourage conversation about self-love by reading the book together and exploring with your child about what makes them special. Maybe they might want to draw pictures of the things they enjoy or are good at? For more info about the collection visit https://www.goodstart.org.au/storybook #KidsBookCollection

13.01.2022 Please see attached an Image weve come across that simply explains the latest advice from the Prime Minister around Australias response to COVID-19. We just wanted to reassure you that our centre is open, and we will continue to provide an essential service to our children and families. Goodstart is well prepared and has been planning around COVID-19 since early January.... Our teams are highly trained in dealing with infectious diseases and we have Public Health approved infection control processes. We use hospital-grade cleaning products and have rigorous hygiene practices and protocols in place. It is important to remember that maintaining your childs daily routines and positive relationships can be beneficial during uncertain and stressful times such as these. Our priorities are ensuring the ongoing safety, health and wellbeing of everyone in our Goodstart family and continuing to provide the highest standard of early learning and care in our 665 centres across Australia for the families that rely on us each day.

01.01.2022 There are lots of fun ways that we use in kindergarten to learn how to write our names and other symbols. Today we practiced writing our names and explored how to draw Aboriginal sand symbols in trays of sand. The sand provides a tactile and sensory alternative to paper and pencil.
