16.01.2022 These are challenging times as we grapple with the impacts of COVID-19 on our community connections and our physical and social and emotional wellbeing. To supp...ort our communities, the Queensland Council for LGBTI Health is making a number of licences to the LivingWorks Start suicide intervention online training available for LGBTI Sistergirl and Brotherboy people, groups and services based or working in the Brisbane north region. You can request the number of licences that would be most useful in the Expression of Interest survey below and we will be in contact to discuss what number we could provide. If you are interested in receiving a licence so you can access the training program, please complete a brief expression of interest survey here [link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/J6K66GK]. LivingWorks Start is a short online training program that prepares people with the skills to identify when someone is having thoughts of suicide and develops the skills to respond, in just 90 minutes. You can learn more here [link: https://www.livingworks.com.au/programs/livingworks-start/]. The costs for the licences are being covered by QC with funding from the Brisbane North PHN, under their Planning for Wellbeing: North Brisbane Mental Health, Suicide Prevention and Alcohol and Other Drug Regional Plan.
