18.01.2022 NSW-VIC border to close SPECIAL RULES FOR FREIGHT From 12:01am Wednesday 8 July, NSW will close its borders to all non-essential travellers entering from Vict...oria. Freight is considered essential and is exempt from the restriction, with special rules in place. Long delays at the border are expected during the first 72 hours as the permit regime is established. UPDATE: NSW Police have advised that trucks will be green lighted across the NSW/VIC border with a random sample to be inspected. Additionally, exemptions can be applied for from early this evening, with an easier permit to apply for Victorians in border communities.
