25.01.2022 Dog Poisoned by the Diffuser Saturday night I got home late and my dog didnt recognize me. Being a nanny I thought I woke him up and he was having a night terr...or. Sunday, he was still acting weird. I realized that I had been running my new diffuser and decided to turn it off. Sunday afternoon, he was feeling better. Today at work, my dog sitter said that he wouldnt come out from under the bed. It was very odd as he is a happy dog. I came from work early and again, he was very confused about who I was. So I took him to emergency vet. It turns out that the tea tree oil I was using in the diffuser is toxic for dogs. Thankfully the test showed that his liver was ok but we werent out of the woods yet. He was given fluids under his skin to get the toxins out. The vet and the poison control are saying that they see these cases often now that the popularity of essential oil is growing. Please make sure that the essential oils you are burning are not toxic for your pets. We are incredibly excited to see what this year has in store for our business and would like to announce our new and updated price list. Please note: these changes will be in effect from the Saturday 1st of February. ... We would like to assure those who have pre-booked in our February that they will not be subject to this change. Please refer to our full service descriptions below and let us know if you have any questions or concerns. In-home stays (overnight): We spend the night in your home so your pets can maintain their routine in the safety and comfort of their own environment. We guarantee that your home will be safe and maintained while youre away. This $55-$60 package includes morning and evening walks, feeding, litter box and/or cage cleaning, collecting mail, and taking trash bins to/from the curb. Daily check up (morning or afternoon): This incredible $40-$50 service is available to those needing extra care for their pets outside the typical office hours. This is handy for cases where an animal needs to take timed medication or is used to an specific routine where full overnight visits are otherwise not needed. The package includes a half an hour walk (for dogs) around your neighbourhood or to the local dog park, feeding, replenished drinking water, and lots of cuddles. Daily check up (morning & afternoon): Ideal for owners who may work late or long hours or have pets with specific needs, this $50-$60 package includes two visits to your home (1.5 hrs) each visit. As mentioned above, this comprises of a half an hour walk (for dogs) around your neighbourhood or to your local dog park, feeding, replenished drinking water, and lots of cuddles. Dog Walking : Packages range from $20-$45 depending on the time frame selected for each walk. All walks will take place around your neighbourhood or at your local dog park. An additional $10 will be charged if more than one dog is scheduled to walk. We understand that every dog is different, so all walks are scheduled according to your needs. We will take your dog on a leashed walk in your neighborhood and make sure they get to stretch their legs, get some fresh air, and do their business. Note: if temperatures are set to reach 29 degrees or above, or predicted to rain we will reschedule our walk. This is to ensure the safety of ourselves and your beloved pets. See more
