20.01.2022 Went out to meet the Ghan tonight n welcome our latest guest from Belgium what a train journey - a far cry from out first trip over 35 years ago on the old train that stopped at Alice Springs!!

17.01.2022 At the June meeting of the NT Bromeliad Club - Ross (our earstwhile President) showed and talked about a plant with quilling! I had a plant a year or two ago with this problem so used Len Trotmans recepie to soften the glue that caused the leaves to fold up close to the stem. After a few months we had this beautiful double bloom (id please?). Since the flowers have died (no seeds) we had two nice unblemished pups! So today I pulled out the parent and the two pups to find two more little pups developing in the potting mix! Only time will tell if they survive! Follow the pics below - enjoy

16.01.2022 We have spent the past few years trying to catch the elusive Million Dollar or even just one of the Ten thousand dollar Northern Territory Barra with no I repeat NO luck!! However driving around Darwin down a street off the main drag we found this Beauty n thought we’d share it with you all!! Now - that’s a Barramundi!!

15.01.2022 We have just enjoyed the company of a beautiful couple from South Australia who were visiting their family in Darwin but were unfortunate enough to have an accident. They arrived at Royal Darwin Hospital where the couple were advised that the wife had broken her leg. As their previous accommodation was unsuitable for a person in a wheelchair they searched the Internet for Darwin wheelie accessible accommodation and found our Bed and Breakfast! RDH provided loan equipment for their use and they were able to spend another week exploring Darwin with their family and friends before returning to Adelaide for additional treatment in her injury!

14.01.2022 This weekend we have had a container delivered and we are starting to pack. We have not sold yet but we do have someone interested so we have decided to close this email account and Web site. May we take this opportunity to say a very big Thank you to all our supporters over the past 8 years - we were delighted to win a few awards including the Brolga in 2014 for Hosted Accommodation in the NT. We also won the NT Disability Service Award - for a Mainstream Business - No...n Government business. We also achieved the Australian Tourism Accreditation Quality Assurance Program In 2012 and maintained this standard for many years. During 2016 we obtained an Industry rating of 4Star Accommodation facility. . Thankyou to our Star guests we have really enjoyed your friendship and travel tales - may you all continue to explore and enjoy this wonderful world. 11.01.2022 We have made the second hardest decision of our life and we have decided to sell our beautiful bed and Breakfast. Without Al to help we are finding the little things we do are getting beyond us and it’s time to take a rest! Our property is unique and could suit as a Respite home so I’ve checked with Liveable Housing Victoria and our Accreditation level is Gold. We meet around 75% of the criteria for Platinum but a couple of things like the passage width and height of the... light switches relegate us to Gold. So if there is a Nurse or two looking for a Life Change this could suit you!! Our price is negotiable so start around the $600,000 mark n contact us Direct if you are interested!
