18.01.2022 Today was the hardest farewell for my Dad. I wore a #Roadrunner because it was my Dads favourite cartoon. I had intended on making a larger plaque for him for Fathers Day so I had to fast track it a little bit. Thank you to @onlinelasercutting who were able to give me the short turnaround I required to get the project done. (I made a slight mistake in cutting but it doesnt matter.) @hoksteadplantation were wonderful in creating the foliage tribute. They carefully added th...e acrylic #bees I made to the spray.

14.01.2022 Two years of #BroochtheSubject! Im not planning anything special for this month... except for the delivery of a huge capital investment in the shape of a laser cutter. It has been hard to keep my mouth shut but it is finally on the way. I expect it to be a major learning curve. Having my own laser cutter is a dream come true. Im so excited and terrified. 14.01.2022 I couldnt find this #orgalica #sturtsdesertpea #brooch yesterday when I wanted it for the #julysupportamakerchallenge. Of course I found it today ave I dont have any Leopard Print Bee so I am catching up. I know I have made my own Starts Desert Pea brooch and I did it after receiving this one at the end of the year. I still think this one is my favourite. It wont stop me from buying the forthcoming Mood and Co version too. (If only @erstwilder would release a recolour of their pea!) The detail that brings this flower to the front of the pack are the doomed resin bosses that make them look like the real black dots at the middle of the actual bloom. #broochthesubject

12.01.2022 Thank you! Im still shocked and pleasantly surprised because I have never had a response where I sold out on release night. For those who missed out. I feel for you. Im a broochie too and I hate missing out. I can say that everything will be back in one form or another.... For now I need to continue getting parcels ready using the new pink boxes. We have some of the plain ones still but look at these! I have Mini Brooch cracking the whip telling me to hurry up and do more. He loves the printer. My thanks again to everyone. 12.01.2022 Im going to take a break from social media for a little while because things have become overwhelming. Ive tried to be present and interacting but I need to spend some quality time away to handle recent events. First, I wanted to let everyone know that when I come back I will be doing a release. It will definitely be a Vanity Pre-order but I will release the few Dandelion Fairies I have made up ahead of their September Spring release. Mini Brooch will be thrilled with Huge Papa Smurf when I can cut it all. Did you know that Green Beer isn’t an Irish tradition? It was started in America by putting blue dye into lager to turn it green. 09.01.2022 #MakersLove Appreciation Post. I remember the first time I saw #QuetzyBrooches and feel in love instantly. It was Good Friday in 2019 and I bought Easter brooches and a Christmas #brooch. It has been a wonderful thing to see them grow to having sold out subscriber events because they make great pieces of plastic that talk to you. This sprig of #violets spoke to me and reminded me of my grandmother. I was young when she died but I had a couple of things to remember her by. Thi...s one evokes the small glass jar of violet fragranced creme perfume from Avon. I kept that jar for many years but it is sadly lost. Every time I smell violets I remember her. #BroochTheSubject

03.01.2022 A note about tonights release. The shop will be bright out of holiday mode and open for orders at 8 pm AEST time (Brisbane). Vanity Smurf will be available for pre-order.... The following items are already made so there should not be a long wait for shipping. The Dandelion Fairy has only two available. I am not happy with the quality of the acrylic used for the wings. They are flaws that occur during manufacturing but I know that it is not up to brooches standards and so a material change will be required before pre-orders can occur.
