25.01.2022 This week the children at BELC are participating in the First Nations Bedtime Stories Challenge. This is a great follow on from our NAIDOC week celebrations last week.

22.01.2022 This week we have Chick R Us hatching eggs program at the centre. All the classes have enjoyed watching chicks hatch from their eggs and then getting to hold the baby chicks. 22.01.2022 HAPPY 3RD BELC ANNIVERSARY TO MISS BEK! Miss Bek is a huge part of the BELC team as she takes on the roles of Assistant Director, Educational Leader and Preschool Lead Educator. We thank you for all you do for our centre and for being such a big support to our team of educators.

They are currently exploring the Eco Bugs program which involves interactive activities and displays all about Sustainability. We are a diverse centre with families and teachers from all over the world. We have teachers who speak many different languages including; Portuguese, Spanish, Polish, Chinese, Filibino, Bengla, French & Persian. This can often be comforting and help children, who don't speak English at home, settle into care. ... We wanted to support a local community organisation and are so pleased to help such an important service. 10.01.2022 Celebrating NAIDOC Week at Brookvale ELC We welcomed Laurie from Guringai Aboriginal Tours to our centre. He spent time with all the children talking about the Aboriginal culture and history. He also brought in some hand made instruments, hunting weapons and weaving items. The children enjoyed hearing his stories, looking at the items he brought in and asking lots of questions!

07.01.2022 ORANGUTAN CARING WEEK - Introducing Popi our centre Orangutan! Brookvale ELC recently adopted Popi who is 4.5 years old. She was rescued after her mother was killed by palm oil plantation workers and she is currently been cared for at the Centre for Orangutan Protection in Indonesia. We feel honoured to be able to adopt Popi and help provide her with the care and home she needs. ... This week is Orangutan Caring Week so please support agencies like The Orangutan Project who do an amazing job at rescuing and rehabilitating Orangutans.

02.01.2022 Celebrating NAIDOC week at BELC When Laurie from Guringai Aboriginal Tours visited the centre he brought in a variety of hand made tools, weapons, instruments and items to show the children. They all learnt about how each item was made and how they are used.
