23.01.2022 As term two comes to a close were reflecting on how much weve learnt this year already. Connection and community is so important to us at BPAC and now more than ever we value our time together in our studio Shout out to our students and Families for being so adaptable to change and to the amazing teachers that we have who lead the way and set such a great example. We hope you all enjoy the holidays and we will see you in term 3 with hopefully a concert in sight

19.01.2022 Introducing BPAC teaching extraordinaire of all dance including Lyrical, Ballet, JFH, Tricks and more... SHELLY SHERER! Shelly started dancing from the age of 4 with Shirley Farrell Academy of Dance. Over the years her love of dancing grew competing in many CSTD exams and competitions in a variety of genres: Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Demi Character, Slow Modern, Nationals, Duos and Troupe dancers. She also was a talented Highland Dancer and won the 1994 Under 10 National Championshi...p. Shelly performed in two musicals in 1996: The White Horse Inn and Pinocchio, which led her to join Vogue Entertainment in 1997. Throughout this time Shelly performed in many shows around Australia, as a troupe and was also excited to perform as Characters like Fat Cat and Brown Bananas Milk Cow. Under the talented guidance of Leanna and Marina Delbasso at Vogue, Shelly passed her CSTD Student and Full Teachers Diploma in 2006. Shelly continued to teach at Vogue till 2017. She also taught Edu-Dance in Primary Schools throughout Perth, an experience which helped develop and advance her teaching of children passing on her passion and love of dancing in a fun and education environment. At the end of 2017 Shelly moved to Broome with her young family for a Lifestyle change, which they are extremely enjoying. Shelly loves the passion, dedication, technique and fun that Dance has installed in her and is thrilled to be teaching with Broome Performing Arts Co-Op and being apart of an Amazing Community See more

Simon Stewart is a Indigenous choreographer from Broome and is a lecturer in Aboriginal Performance a...t WAAPA in Perth where he teaches Indigenous Dance and movement as well as cultural competency within WAAPA courses. Simon bases his workshops through the essence of human movement and uses techniques to develop task based material to create ideas and Choreography. His choreography comes from the natural elements such as water, fire, earth , air, and metal. Simon defines movement and Choreography through exploration imagination and simply being present.
