01.01.2022 *Cable Beach Crocodile Update* the beach remains closed after crocodile tracks were found 200m north of the Cable Beach vehicle access ramp. Photos were sent th...rough by Turtle Monitoring Volunteers this morning. The tracks were confirmed by rangers with a track width of 65cm recorded between the claw prints, predicted size of 3-3.5m. It appears the crocodile was resting at high tide late last night before heading back to the water in the early hours of the morning. Parks and Wildlife Service and Shire of Broome rangers are monitoring the beach overnight and plan to remove the crocodile if the opportunity arises. You are responsible for your safety, please keep children and pets away from the waters edge while the Beach is closed. Be Crocwise See more
