22.01.2022 It was great to meet with Jamie Harnwell and other senior Football West members in Broome the other day. They were up here promoting the game across the Kimberley. They have some interesting ideas about growing the game in our region including a possible international tournament hosted in Broome!

20.01.2022 Broome Soccer Association is so proud of Ayanna Hayter-Otaola who went down to Perth over the holidays and played for Goldfields at Country Week. She then trained with Football West coaches at their talent development Country Camp. She scored seven goals for Goldfields including two in the final, which helped her team to become champions. You are an absolute credit to Broome Ayanna!!

19.01.2022 Online registration and payment for Term 4 Junior Soccer is now open here: https://kickitfootball.com.au/kick-it-skills-register/. Our Term 4 'Kick It Skills' programme for kids aged from 5-12 (Primary school ages) in association with Football West will be at BRAC oval on Wednesdays at 4.30 for training and Fridays at 4.30 for matches (Years 3-6). This is a mixed programme for boys and girls. The fee of $70 per child covers insurance and admin fee from Football West and players will also get a good quality football and BSA kit bag. We still desperately need volunteer as coaches - if we do not have enough coaches we will cancel. So if you can help please let us know as soon as possible [email protected].

17.01.2022 **Junior Soccer Volunteer’s Meeting** Monday 21st of September (Tomorrow) 5pm-5:30pm/6pm at Broome Surf Lifesaving Clubhouse. Looking for Game Day Coordinators for Wednesday and Friday afternoons, Admin helpers, Coaches/Assistant coaches, First Aid Officers. (All roles can be shared for those not wanting to ‘overcommit’)... If you attended the free coaching clinic we have your details already but feel free to come to this meeting also. 14.01.2022 A challenging but successful Junior Soccer season finishes on 16th Dec. We hope everyone will be there on Friday 11th Dec for the Round Robin tournament and on Wednesday 16th for the end of season presentations and pizza!

12.01.2022 **Junior Soccer UPDATE** The FREE grass roots coaching clinic is on tonight 5pm - 6pm! We will be organising a meeting in a week or so for all the awesome volunteers that have put their hand up to help.... Please come along to this meeting, even if you feel you can only offer in a small way. (It will look big in our eyes) After this meeting, a post will be made on Facebook explaining registration details etc. For all the newbie's - - Junior Soccer will be run in Term 4. - Starts Wednesday 14th of October - until Friday 19th of December. - It is for ages 5 - 12 years. - Training is held on Wednesdays 4:30pm - 5:30pm at the BRAC oval. - Yr 5 and Yr 6 have games on Friday 5pm - 6pm. 06.01.2022 With our Junior Soccer Programme (ages 4-12) due to kick off in Term 4, we are looking for volunteer coaches. If you are interested in coaching, we are delighted to announce a free grass roots coaching course thanks to Football West and Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries, Kimberley. Here you will learn the basics of the game and how to organise fun football exercises for kids. There is a 20/30 minute online section then an hour of practical learning... with a leading Football West coach. The course is open to all! 05.01.2022 After being cut short earlier in the year, youth soccer is back! Suitable for 12-15 year olds, girls and boys. Depending on numbers, there will be two sessions - skill development on Wednesdays at 5.30 and matches on Fridays 5.30pm. For those that did not register earlier in the year (most players!) registration is online. The total is $60 (of which Broome Soccer Association gets an average of $10). 05.01.2022 Thanks to Gary Church from Football West for coming up to Broome and taking a grass-roots coaching clinic and thanks to those of you that came along. We hope you enjoyed the session and we look forward to seeing you put your skills to use next term. Thanks also to Kamil at Football West Kimberley for the support.

02.01.2022 ** Senior Soccer ** 3 weeks left including tonight. (7th of Oct) The last week (21st of Oct) will be a 8v8 knockout competition for both mens comp and womens comp followed by a casual windup up with pizza!

01.01.2022 Youth Soccer - end of season arrangements... Thanks to all involved with the youth soccer program this term. We have been able to maintain a competitive four team competition which is now drawing to an end. A big shout out to those players who have actively attended all training and games, as well as assisting (without too much prompting) with tasks such as setting up fields, carrying goals etc. Of course thanks to the support crew.... Our final few sessions are as follows : Friday, 4th Last round of Regular Fixtures Conquistador FC vs Racing Barramundi Hobart Victory vs Robertson Allstars Wednesday, 9th - final training session / finals warm up Friday, 11th December (kick off may be delayed by 30 minutes due to final week of primary competition) Finals 1 v 2 (2 x 25 mins) and 3 v 4... (2 x 15 minutes) ... amended game times such that all spectators can view closing stages of Championship game. Post game : Presentations (Trophy, medals and Coach Awards) Pizzas and Refreshments
