21.01.2022 On Saturday the 29th August the Brunswick Lions Club gathered in the Lions Park to honour the late Gerald Rose. Due to his passing during the pandemic Lions were unable to celebrate his 42 years of service to the club and community. It was a beautiful morning to share with the Rose family and friends unveiling Gerald's plaque on the Lions memorial seat. Lions president Andy Dalton shared words of condolences. Lion Murray Piggott shared fond memories. Lion Robert George acknow...ledged Gerald's contribution to the Olive Roelands Bush Fire Brigade. With Graham Rose thanking the Lions for the camaraderie and active citizenship that the club brought to his dads long and fruitful life. The official ceremony was adjourned to the Brunswick Tavern for refreshments and sharing of stories. Many thanks to Greg and Clint from the Brunswick Tavern for their hospitality. See more
