24.01.2022 REV RANT, OCTOBER 1, 2020 Hello all, Before I start this week's rant I would like you all to do something. I want you to to stop reading for a moment and think about 5 people that you love.... Take a moment and think. I'm confident that most of you would have put on that list of 5 spouse, children, grandchildren, parents, siblings, the Rev (Thank you) etc. How many of you put yourself on the list - better yet at the top of the list? We often hear the term self love, or are told to love thyself. But what is it? There is a difference between loving yourself and vanity and this is where a lot of people get confused. Vanity is ego driven. We must remove the ego in order to love ourselves and allow for the humility. Now we know that ego is not a dirty word (sorry couldn't help myself!) It is important, it gives us confidence at times, but it's when it becomes too big that it overtakes our true self and can turn us into the narcissist. If you know the story of Narcissus you know it doesn't work out well to go down that path. So how can I love myself with humility? Humility comes from the word humble, which in turn comes from the meaning low to the ground. We have heard the expression that someone big-headed needs their wings clipped. This is what we are talking about. Being humble is a great virtue to have, love what you deem your lesser qualities. On the pathway we have before us we need to remain humble. If we look at spiritual leaders of Eastern philosophy they normally have very simplistic worldly possessions. Normally a book, a bowl reading glasses and that's about it. They keep humble by keeping at a simple level. And one of the ways to love thyself is to keep it simple. Don't over complicate your life - you know the one I'll be happy when............. No, be happy now. Love your life and love yourself. Treat yourself to a nice meditation either this morning or before bed. Take yourself for a walk and connect with the beauty of nature. Buy yourself some nice flowers. Whatever it is, treat yourself, love yourself. Of all the relationships you will have in your life the one with yourself is the longest so you best keep that love alive. So in closing I ask that in between this and my next installment, if you don't already, please take at least 10 minutes out of everyday to do something for you to feed yourself that simple and humble love. Not only love but feed yourself kindness. Also, give yourselves healing and positive thoughts, stay humble and true to the one you should love most, yourself. Until I speak with you all again please stay safe stay healthy and take care. May God and spirit bless you all With much love The Rev
23.01.2022 REV RANT JULY 31st 2020 Hello everyone, We have all heard the expression every cloud has a silver lining, but now we need to understand what the silver lining is. I heard on the radio yesterday that according to a recent study optimistic people live longer! I was really shocked that they wasted precious time and resources on something that is blatantly obvious. ... As Spiritualist we know that everything happens for a reason. As Spiritualists we also know that sometimes we can spend forever trying to work that reason out. Most of the time, if not all of the time it is a lesson. Whether it was for us or them - well that's another story. Everyone you meet on your journey is a teacher. Those that try to destroy us can make us stronger, those that give us strength make us wiser; those that give us wisdom make us want to help or heal; those that heal us make us want to be better, and so it goes. So what is the silver lining? For me, it's the simplistic things in life that I am appreciating. My meditations reminding me of calmness of mind. Seeing all the blossoms out reminding me that warmer days are ahead. The sounds of Miss Freya as she purrs on my lap, knowing this is her way of sending healing to me. Although I cannot see you my congregation, or my family at this time, I look forward to that silver lining and seeing what everyone has discovered about this time, and hearing about their silver linings. Please stay safe, stay well, stay healthy and stay home and don't forget your masks. On the subject of masks silver lining, I'm getting great use out of my many bandannas! May God and Spirit bless you all Love and blessings The Rev

20.01.2022 REV RANT, SEPTEMBER 3, 2020 Hi all! Firstly happy spring to you all. Let's hope the biggest thing to happen in spring is the doors of our beloved church springing back open again very soon. This weekend we would have been closed for Fathers' Day. I want to take this moment to wish all the fathers a very happy day. This is for all the dads, step, surrogate, spirit or fur. I understand that this day could be one of mixed emotions for many but I want to talk about my ex...periences of fatherhood. Being a dad has been one of my biggest and greatest accomplishments and at times my hardest. It has taught me to combine lame jokes, bad dancing, embarrassing the kids with lessons of life, morals and above all unconditional love. When I became a father someone said to me the best thing about being a dad is the things your children teach you about yourself. At first I never quite got it, then as I watched my children grow it became more evident what it meant. I'm sure I speak on behalf of all dads reading this, how grateful I am for my kids who taught me more about life than I could have ever imagined, and for this they know that dad will always have their back and will support all their dreams no matter what. The other thing I have learned about my kids is that they are smarter than I, which is a blessing too. They never bought the bubble in a spirit level is a goldfish fart that my father taught me! If you can't be with dad this weekend for whatever reason, be it lockdown laws or otherwise, take a moment and remember the good lessons or the sacrifices that he made for you. Put on his favorite music and sing off key, perhaps do a daggy dance with it. Partake in his favorite drink or just sit back and think how proud he is of you and your achievements in life. In closing I want to say happy Fathers' Day to my dad and a big thank you. It was in becoming a dad that I really started me to figure out what it was all about and I think I get it now. Until I speak with you all again please stay safe stay healthy and take care May God and spirit bless you all Much love The Rev
19.01.2022 REV RANT NOVEMBER 5, 2020 Hello everyone Well here we are now getting towards the end of another year. When all of this began back in late February, I like most of you, never expected to still be doing the same thing in November. At least now we are seeing signs of a return to the normality we have all missed. ... It's interesting that I would have thought that all the lockdowns and isolation would have slowed time, yet it's gone just as fast as before. I often wonder how time a concept of man, something that the spirit realm tells us doesn't exist, can move so fast and be such a reliance within our existence. I say this with not only what's happening now but with what's happening in general. The Sunday just passed was the fifth anniversary of my ordination! It certainly doesn't feel like 5 years since I was ordained - some days it feels longer, others it feels like it just happened. We quite often hear the term 5 year plan or where do you see yourself in 5 years. To quote John Lennon: "life is what happens when your busy making other plans". We hear the journey didn't go to plan, but what is the plan really? If our life lessons are decided before we enter, then do we really know the plan? Should we try to structure or just live in the moment? Do we take every day as it comes or plan it strategically? Perhaps both. This is one of the joys of freewill. We might have forgotten why we are here somedays, but at least we can have faith in knowing that it's part of the pre-determined lessons and teachings that we signed up for. Every moment good, bad, joyous or heartbreaking is there. Some days we are jumping out of our skin to face the world others we just want to laze on the couch all day. Whatever it is, it's your journey. I never thought my journey would include being a reverend, although I did tell myself in my mid 20s that if I wasn't married by 30 I would become a priest. When I got married at 28 I never really thought about it again. Obviously the universe heard my thoughts and said priest no, but reverend yes. Was it power of thought or perhaps something I agreed on before entering the earth plane? Do we randomly remember what we agreed on prior to this chapter of the journey, to keep us on the path, or does the intention we put out return to us in some form? Whatever your journey is no matter how difficult or easy the path may be, walk it with knowledge and wisdom. May the journey bring you blessings. Enjoy the moment. Until I speak with you all again please stay safe, stay healthy and take care. May God and Spirit bless you all With much love The Rev
19.01.2022 REV RANT AUGUST 13th , 2020 The new normal is a phrase I'm hearing thrown around a lot recently, and I'm not going to lie it's sort of annoying me. I respect and understand safety and protecting the vulnerable within our community and ourselves, but respecting and caring for others and self should not be "new" it should only be the normal. It's funny how a little word can change everything. Today I want to talk about the power of words. During the past week I have receiv...ed some beautiful messages of thanks from some of my students. The simple task of thanking has helped me throughout this strange time we are all having. We have all heard that talking to house plants can help them grow, but how many of us have spoken to ourselves to help us grow?. We must encourage ourselves as well as others during these times - the words we feed ourselves become our reality. I have two examples: firstly a gentleman I worked with many years ago who constantly had a fear of illness, had a raw vegan diet, only drank filtered water, walked 10k on a daily basis, who before the age of 55 died from aggressive brain cancer. And then there was a medium I know who would constantly say I'm old I'm getting old etc who is now living with severe dementia. Every cell in your body is listening to your thoughts and words. In the week ahead I want you all to give yourselves positive words, don't go thinking I'm bored, I'm old, I'm unattractive etc tell yourself I'm excited by new possibilities, I'm experienced but willing to learn more and most of all I'm beautiful. Then don't forget to tell others too. Love yourself play loud, happy music and make this your "new" normal if you're not doing it already. May God and spirit bless you all Love and blessings The Rev

18.01.2022 REV RANT, AUGUST 21, 2020i In order to grow what do we need? Are you familiar with the chrysalis? This is where the caterpillar firstly gorges itself, then basically becomes a liquid form inside the chrysalis before emerging as the butterfly. ... What's this got to do with the rant ? well in order to understand ourselves or our situations nature is often the best answer. I'm often asked to recommend books to people. whilst there are a great and vast number of books, most if not all, are that person's journey or experience which may be beneficial, l but in order to learn you must have your own experiences. I have often said to students that the spiritual path is not an easy one but a rewarding one. They are all different and individual just like us. There has been many a time I've questioned mine, but then I think about what I've learned and discovered and the many I've seen blossom, and I know it's worthwhile. For many of us the spiritual path or journey of self discovery is no different to the caterpillars' transition. We gorge ourselves, be it knowledge via pre-mentioned books, meditation, crystals etc. Then the chrysalis happens - our transformation like the caterpillar - we basically become a liquid mess. We think we've lost our sanity, we often feel alone, isolated, then one day it all comes together and we are the butterfly, beautiful and carefree. So if you're doing it tough right now, and I know many of you are, this could just be your chrysalis. You will emerge from this more beautiful and carefree. Spread your wings, know your beauty and most importantly stay safe, stay healthy, stay positive and take care. May God and Spirit bless you all Much love The Rev
17.01.2022 REV RANT MAY 18, 2020 What's wrong with this world? Only a few months ago we saw insane selfish acts from people hoarding basic essential items. Then we saw the planet beginning to heal due to lack of pollution, people were becoming caring and respectful and now it's done a complete back flip. I cannot turn on the radio, television, or look at social media without seeing or hearing acts of violence, malicious damage or just sheer anger. It saddens me to see and hear thes...e things and now we have people wanting to destroy the past for a future. I want to firstly say yes, we have some horrible things in our country's past as do all countries. But as a Spiritualist I have learned that the mistakes of our past are lessons that mould us to a place of betterment. Anger and violence don't make things better, only education and knowledge can make things better. For every bad thing that's happened to you, you learn from it and educate yourself. If you don't you just keep repeating the same pattern over and over again. Let's put this in simple terms: if you continually stub your toe on the coffee table do you get angry at it and destroy the table? No, you accept that it happened, and use the knowledge it happened to remember it's there, and don't let it happen again. Anger won't resolve it . Having said that, what does anger really resolve? . We cannot change the past but we can change ourselves and our mindset, so please people education over anger. I think Rafiki from the :Lion King put it best: "the past is painful, you can either run from it or learn from it". Of course his lesson came with a smack to the head with his staff. I could delve deeper into this but I hope you all understand where I'm coming from. So in closing please stay safe and heal yourself and others. Don't allow anger to take over. Accept your faults and better yourself for it. May God and spirit bless you Love and blessings The Rev
16.01.2022 REV RANT, JULY 16, 2020 Hello all! As I said in the last rant I would go back to some experiences, but first a thank you for so many shares on last week's post as the mental health of you and others is highly important during these times. For those that have heard or seen me in trance you would be familiar with my wonderful teaching guide who is simply referred to as G. He lived in Mongolia many centuries ago and he lived a solitary life. Wondering throughout the wildernes...s of land, planting trees and using them along with the animals' behavior to understand the weather or time of year it was, and the stars as his map. As he spent much of his life alone he does get excited to talk to people and share his wisdom, and has a habit of talking very rapidly. One thing that he said to my students one night after a development circle has been on my mind this week. Now my students relay his words to me, as I do deep trance and have no idea what he is talking about when I channel. His words were "listen to the silence it's where you hear the most". In these times of solitude I am really understanding this. This past week I have been listening to my quiet thoughts and appreciating the silence, and embracing the emptiness, knowing that we are all like flowers in God's garden. All the flowers have a purpose but if you plant a heap of seeds sometimes you need to thin them out, to allow them to grow. So in this time of thinning yourself out of the crowd you too shall grow. Use the solitude to your advantage as a time of growth, use the silence to hear the sounds. I do ask that this week besides staying safe, well and warm that you embrace that silence. Give your soul a chance to breathe without being crowded. May God and spirit bless you all Much love The Rev
16.01.2022 REV RANT AUGUST 28, 2020 I wish that ????? Too often I hear the I wish - normally I try to smile politely and not roll my eyes but the truth is what do you really wish for? ... Let's be clear, you cannot change the past or alter the universe to make your lotto numbers come out. The reason I want to speak of this is because during this week I would have celebrated my 13th wedding anniversary. I am one of the lucky ones that had an amicable divorce and has my ex wife as one of my dearest friends. This was not just for the sake of the children but also for us. We know that holding onto anger is pointless and the past is just that. Everything life throws at us has purpose. I often hear when people speak to those younger: I wish I was your age and know what I know now. Really, why the hell would you want to?. You would miss out on so many valuable lessons if you did. We need mistakes to learn, we need pain to learn to heal. Too many ponder on past mistakes instead of embracing the lessons that they gave. And most importantly how much it has made us learn and grow. As I've stated before we chose our path so we gave ourselves these lessons. We had to learn these things and from them. Early in my spiritual journey I questioned my career path. There I was embracing the spiritual journey and being a butcher the two just seemed like complete opposite lives, but here I am now owning my own butcher shop and running a spiritual church. I chose both paths and am able to walk both paths ( I also quietly bless all I cut and make sure all vibration is completely removed, and only source as ethical as possible) but I realized it's my journey. So if you really want to wish for anything just wish to be at peace with yourself understand that you're in control, cause you chose it. And if you can alter the universe for lotto numbers don't forget the Rev! So in wishing I wish you all an abundance of peace love and happiness May God and spirit bless you all Much love The Rev
14.01.2022 REV RANT , AUGUST 6TH 2020 So, amid the conflict Weather great or small, Do not be disheartened ... God is over all. Count your many blessings, Angels will attend Help and comfort give you To your journeys end. I've started today with a verse from the hymn "Count Your Blessings". I remember this being one of the first songs I heard in the early days of starting my time at the Brunswick Spiritual Lyceum. Back then I had already sat in a few different meditation groups and was showing signs of becoming a half decent medium. I never thought that I would get invited to sit in a development circle straight away, let alone be running the church, but it was just the beginning of my many blessings. I am often told "you always take stuff in your stride and never seem to worry". Why would I? I spoke of the power of positivity last week - now we need to count our blessings, name them one by one as the hymn suggests. We are blessed with a new day, every morning. When I wake I am excited to see where the day will take me, my lessons for the day, the little messages from the realm of spirit. Some days are hard, but these are the days we learn that the easy days are the ones where we take that learning and use it. My main objective here today is to count my biggest blessing of all: you my like minded friends. The positive messages, the continued support of our beautiful church, these things are brilliant and I cannot thank you enough. It's now seeming like we won't be back into the church as a congregation again until October, It's rewarding to know how much we mean to you all by the membership renewals and kind donations, especially at a time where many are doing it tough. And of course my amazing committee who are picking up a lot of my work, as my non-church work life load has increased greatly. It doesn't matter how big or small you think the many blessings you are given daily are, count them. Know that the Spirit realm is there to strengthen, guide and protect. Always remember your worst day is better than someone's best day. So please count your blessings, be grateful for the journey, and remember God and Spirit are on your side, feel their strength and enjoy the process. May God and spirit bless you all. Stay safe Stay strong Stay blessed Much love The Rev

11.01.2022 REV RANT, OCTOBER 14, 2020 Hi All, I remember many years ago a friend saying to me that as smart as computers are I don't trust them because they can't smell!... It was something that has always stuck in my head, especially as I went on to develop my Clairs in order to attune my mediumship. Mediumship is so much more than simply being able to communicate with the spirit beyond the veil. The Clairs play a very big part in what we do, also this is to help with the identification of the person/s beyond the veil. To the average person in the street they may just blanket everything as clairvoyance, but the smell is called clairalience meaning clear smell. Smells can evoke memories of people and places without working with our psychic senses. If I was to ask you now to close your eyes and think of the smell of freshly mown grass, this might also evoke memories: summer afternoons, the memory of dad cursing the motor mower, the family bbq that would follow later that day etc. Its not just the smell of a lawn. Its a tapestry of memories, all from one smell. I know I can still remember the smell of my mother's cardigan that was placed over me as I fell asleep in the back of the car after a Sunday drive, I remember the song on the radio as I was falling asleep, the colour of the cardigan, the family drive etc. all from one smell. It is a sadly overlooked Clair in our psychic artillery. As I said mediumship is basically advanced story telling. It's all well and good to say to a client I have grandmother here and give a physical description and perhaps a personality analysis, perhaps even an occupation. But if I also said there's a smell of lilac for example, this could be the main thing the client remembers of their grandmother. I know this because it has happened many times to me. The smell of a perfume or cologne can remind us of loved ones and take us to a place in time. If I'm ever feeling nostalgic I will momentarily remember certain smells of my childhood. The smell of the Royal Show, the smell of certain pipe tobacco, and transport to those times. So I'm asking please don't underestimate the importance of a scent. It may be the difference one day to somebody remembering you and being able to remember happier or simpler times. And if anyone in the spirit realm looking over this rant had a job that required a flat hat and going around in the very early morning, please don't give me a scent to verify your occupation! I'm sure we can find other ways to verify you. So until I speak with you all again please stay safe stay healthy and take care. Smell good and treat people well it will make memories one day. May God and spirit bless you all With much love The Rev
11.01.2022 REV RANT 5TH JUNE, 2020. Hello everyone, Wow what a week it's been! I say "wow", not so much in amazement but in shock.... After all the self isolation and time for reflection, after all the beauty we have seen returning to the planet, we then get faced with race riots ,looting and extreme violence. In my position as a reverend I will never show any political leaning or anything that could be a conflict of interest. My job as a reverend is to adhere to the teachings of the philosophy. But what we are seeing now makes for a heavy heart. Yes what happened to that man in America was sickening and sad, but to return sickening violence with mindless violence I don't believe is the answer. I think history has shown it doesn't resolve anything. I think of those who have stood before with peaceful protest and got their message heard. No person should ever be judged on their skin tone, nor their gender or sexuality for that matter. If you judge, who are you really judging? Having said that, I'm sure all people can agree we can judge someone on the AFL team they barrack for, or their coffee of choice, but that's it. I honestly would love if everyone just saw people for the things they can control: their aura, energetic field, intentions, and heart instead of the things we cannot control: age, race, gender and sexuality then the world would be a better place. Please be kind to each other. There's already too much anger in the world. Don't judge. Will I be protesting with the masses? No, I am instead sending mass amounts of love and healing to the centre of the earth in hope it will return with great force and that hopefully peace will prevail. Have a great weekend and to my fellow essential workers a g great long weekend. Hopefully next week we will talk of how peaceful the planet has become. May God and spirit bless you all Love and blessings to you The Rev
09.01.2022 REV RANT JULY 23, 2020. Hello everyone, here I am mask at the ready to face the day ahead. What interesting times we have ahead of us. ... With all that is happening in the world right now one of my biggest concerns is not the virus but the fear that I'm seeing. It really saddens me seeing people living with so much fear and anxiety. Yes I accept it's scary but not as scary as fear itself. Every challenge we have faced in life has fear attached but once we overcome it we realize it was just our doubt. I think of the first time I was to do platform work at Brunswick many years ago the fear and nausea it caused me. But once I stood and felt the guide connect, I was right, it all went and there was nothing to fear as I now had trust. It is the same when I first started to channel my guides to allow them to talk through my vessel, or use the vessel to stand in to administer healing on someone. First thing I had to do was release the fear. Fear causes so much unnecessary illness within your physical self too, anxiety, restlessness, gastric problems to name a few. Fear causes our solar plexus to open and absorb it which in turn causes the nausea which in turn leads to the anxiety, and now the solar plexus is churning overtime. The rest of the charkra system think hey let's join in and before you know it you really have worried yourself sick. I cannot recall who said the quote "don't fear the unknown because it's just that" but it seems so perfect right now. Yes be cautious of your surroundings, self and loved ones, and be kind to others. If you see them with all that fear, just keep them in your healing prayers or meditation, don't judge them because it's their path not yours. Go on being the best you can be without fear or judgement. Healing not ridicule. Look after yourself and others Stay safe, stay well, take care and trust May God and spirit bless you all Much love The Rev
09.01.2022 REV RANT OCTONER 29, 2020 Hello everyone, Hope you're all keeping well. We had the pleasure of a few more freedoms being granted to us recently which is brilliant Who knows, we might even get back before years' end. ... I, like I'm sure all of you, was relieved and quite grateful but more so for the little things. I find the little things we overlook quite often mean more than the big things. I'll put it in perspective someone taking you to a fancy noisy coffee shop may be nice but someone making you a cup of tea at their house, just because I think is a much nicer gesture. So among all of the good news of the week there was some fantastic news from the weekend. The weekend just gone would have been closed at Brunswick because of a workshop that was planned - obviously it couldn't be, but it coincided with the 150th birthday of the VSU, which I'm sure all who weren't going to be at the workshop would have attended. I would like to take the opportunity now to wish the VSU a very happy birthday. 150 years is quite a milestone especially for a philosophy as young as ours. Obviously this could not have been achieved without the tireless dedication of all those great names and pioneers within our philosophy. And I, like many, look forward to the 151st celebration next year. Now, as our AGM will be different this year, I won't get to do my full report. I want to bring it back to the theme this week of gratitude. I want to say how grateful I am for each and every one of you who reads this each week. Like many of you I have all been getting a little tired, worried etc. Some weeks I feel like not writing other weeks I cannot wait to put my words down. But seeing the likes and comments makes me want to do it. Knowing that someone has taken a moment to read it means a lot. I would also like to say how grateful I am for my committee who have done an outstanding job behind the scenes. Some may not even be aware of it but I see it and am extremely grateful. For those who have renewed their membership to ensure that the teaching of the philosophy will continue within our walls I am grateful. All this continued support will ensure that Brunswick too will have a 150th celebration one day. All the little things that you all do really do make them big things. So to you all I am very grateful and thank you. Please be grateful for the little things and the simplicity behind them, and be grateful for every morning you awake for another day of learning and developing. Just before I sign off, a reminder that when we do return things will be a little different: hugs, handshakes, hands on healing and afternoon tea will probably be gone for a little while yet but more on that as we get closer to a date. Until then please stay safe, stay healthy and take care. May God and spirit bless you all Much love The Rev

08.01.2022 REV RANT OCTOBER 22, 2020 Trust your gut. How many times have we heard that expression? It's something we have all said at one time or another or have had said to us. Thankfully within our teachings we know it's not our gut but our intuition. Within our teachings our intuitiveness is what we rely on, whether it's to help us with our readings or information or to just help others, trust it is what we use. But the problem with just trusting the gut is that the gut can ge...t it wrong too. If we look at that area, we have our solar plexus the charkra responsible for our anxieties and allowing energies in both positive and negative. The charkra that can open in a moment without any prior warning. So can we really trust our gut. It's a yes/no answer. The other thing we could do is go with our mind, but the mind can play tricks on us too. I have often said the mind is the most powerful thing we have, and it is, if we know how to use it. But the mind is also very fragile if we don't use it right it can haunt more than help. So what if we go with our mind and trust our gut and we get the same answer? Fantastic! But as we are heading into the racing season let's go for the trifecta and follow our heart. The heart the building place of love. As the heart is a charkra where love is manifested, you know that if it's feeling good with what the mind and gut agree with then it's the right thing. If it goes against the other two, then I'll still take its advice. This is something that like me I'm sure many of you have had to do. Where the gut feelings were uncertain the mind was too busy weighing up pros and cons, but the heart knew what was right. So this week I ask that you follow your heart, allow the love to flow into all the other things that you trust and follow, and listen to it and go with it's advice. At the end of the day it'll let you know you've done the right thing because the heart knows what you want. Anyway I hope you all have a lovely long weekend, and the Rev's tip for the grand final this Saturday? Well, it will be a team with a feline mascot! Please continue to stay safe and well. May God and spirit bless you all With much love The Rev
07.01.2022 REV RANT JULY 3RD 2020 Well it's lockdown again for me. Like last time I'm still working but added bonus of this lockdown is my gym is in a safe suburb and I can travel for my government approved daily exercise. I hope that those of you also affected by the postcode lockdowns are doing alright and for those that aren't affected, it doesn't mean run amuck. I was hoping this week to say August looks to be our return date but now with this still looming above our heads, I... really don't know. What I want to talk about instead, is what have you learned since all this started? I don't mean 15 new banana bread recipes (although I may be interested)m I mean what have you really learned? Every morning there is a beautiful interesting amazing person that looks back at you in the mirror, but do you know them? This has and still is a great time to know you. Love your flaws and accept your faults i.e. the Fifth Principale of our philosophy: Personal Responsibility. As Spiritualist we know we chose our path and it is ours alone. No one can walk it for us and we are in control of where it leads, we chose to live at this time and in this vessel. We chose the challenges, the victories, all in order to teach us. Teach us what exactly I don't know because it's your journey not mine. Love your journey find the positive in all situations and most importantly in yourself. Remain strong and love yourself no matter what. And as always I ask that we keep our meditative practices going for this will give you the answers to why, and along with the acceptance it will give you the knowledge you need right now. Until I speak with you all again next week please stay safe stay healthy May God and spirit bless you all Much love The Rev

03.01.2022 REV RANT, JULY 9TH, 2020 6 more weeks, we got this folks. Well that's what we're all hoping but who really knows?. I know I speak a lot on here about self care, healing etc but it's so important at this time. Today is no different. I will return to deeper messages and insights but today I want to touch on something really important. Scrolling through social media shows that many are unhappy with the new lockdown measures, especially so after the few weeks teaser package o...f freedoms we had. So today instead of a spiritual quote or meme I've added a list of the places you can call if you're feeling your mental state just ain't right. These are difficult times for many and sometimes we just need to talk or reach out to somebody. Please be kind to yourself and others, and look out for yourself and others too. Keep your mental state in check and use these services if you need to. Please stay strong stay healthy stay safe and be kind. May God and spirit bless you Much love The Rev
03.01.2022 REV RANT SEPTEMBER 10, 2020 Hi all, Firstly much thanks for all the Fathers' Day wishes last week. Had a great day - firstly seeing my kids before seeing my Dad. Also on Sunday it appeared that church services could resume by December, which would be nice to get 2 services in before year's end.... Of all the places I have received messages from, the spiritual realm, books, media of all descriptions, nature etc never had I thought I would receive it from a jar of coffee! Yes that wonderful bean that gets me out of bed or focused during my work day gave me advice: "find pleasure in the little things," the jar said to me. Never before had this been so right. I'm sure many of you are familiar with gratitude diaries where each day you write 3 things you are grateful for that happened on that day. Each day they must be different, otherwise it would be boring seeing waking up written at the top of every list, which is what I'm always most grateful for. But the little things - seeing a butterfly in the garden, the blossom as I walk down the street. And my favorite of late is when I go for my walk getting to pat a different dog each day. Yesterday I had the most bouncy border collie wanting a pat and a "who's a good boy?" I then had a lovely brisk walk hearing the warbling of magpies, and rabbits running around going among their business. The warm spring sun touching my skin the little things quickly add up to big things. Sure, many of us think I can't do this or that, but let's focus instead on what we can do. We can enjoy the little things, we can ignore the negativity, we can be kind to each other, we can laugh at our follies and stupid iso moments, we can read too deeply into our coffee jar. Whatever it is do it always with love and kindness. Until I speak with you all again please stay safe stay healthy and take care May God and spirit bless you all Much love The Rev
03.01.2022 REV RANT 25TH JUNE, 2020 Hello all Here we go again seeing more madness going on. This weekend would have been our world Healing Day service, and looking at the state of the world right now it's definitely due or perhaps overdue.... I have spoken a fair bit about healing during these rev rants but there's good reason for it. Outside of proof of survival the main purpose of Spiritualism, healing is a massive part of the philosophy. It is often the reason people wonder down the path of Spiritualism, either needing healing or wanting to be healers. Now is the time I need you all to be healers. As I said it would have been our World Healing Day As we cannot be there still, use this weekend to do your own world healing. Be it a healing meditation, chanting an invocation, world healing prayers or simply reconnecting with nature. Give that love and healing energy into our planet, feel it expand and grow. Even the smallest act of healing will be beneficial. I think of the Bible story about the mustard seed being the smallest seed but growing the biggest bush. It's the same with our healing intent or any of our intentions for that matter. It's not the size of the act but the place it comes from. Let's put it in simple terms would you prefer a bouquet of flowers given to you under duress or dandelions picked from your lawn by a child given to you with unconditional love? This is the same with our healing, the smallest act if done with the highest of intent is most valuable. So whatever you do this weekend please take time aside to send healing to the planet and of course to yourself. May God and spirit bless you Love, blessings and healing to you all The Rev
03.01.2022 REV RANT, 11TH JUNE, 2020 Hello everyone, Well things are slowly returning and hopefully before the end of winter everything and everyone will be back to their pre- isolation lifestyle.... But the real question is what have you done with your downtime if you've had any? Have you taken up a new hobby, developed a new skill or have you simply spent this time the universe has allowed you doing nothing? I say this because during the past week I have been reminded of progress and growth. There's a quote by Lao Tzu: "the journey of a thousand miles begins with a single footstep". Not everyone will go into trance on the first attempt at meditation. It doesn't mean you stop trying. When I used to make my own beer they had inside the box a reminder that even master brewers started as amateurs. We all have to start at the beginning and failure can only help us see the fault and resolve it, and if you can't resolve it then there is no failure in asking for help. The help of others be it earth bound or within the spirit realm is most beneficial for you growth, as they too have most likely been there, experienced your situation and grown from it. All these new skills much like a spiritual awakening can be daunting at first. People think you're a little strange, maybe you think it too. It can be frustrating but know it will be rewarding. The photo I've added was from a walk I done over the long weekend, which is a great example of growth and not giving in. Although the tree was reduced to a stump it hasn't given up and knows it wants to continue to grow. I don't know who this is meant for but don't give up, continue to grow. There will always be doubters and knockers but don't allow yourself to be the one doubting and knocking yourself. Spread your wings, walk in light and never give up on yourself. May God and spirit bless you Much love The Rev.
01.01.2022 Rev rant Hello everyone, We have all heard the expression every cloud has a silver lining. But now we need to understand what the silver lining is. I heard on the radio yesterday that according to a recent study optimistic people live longer, I was really shocked that they wasted precious time and resources on something that is blatantly obvious. ... As spiritualist we know that everything happens for a reason as spiritualists we also know that sometimes we can spend forever trying to work that reason out. Most of the time if not all of the time it is a lesson weather it was for us or them well that's another story. Everyone you meet on your journey is a teacher those that try to destroy us can make us stronger, those that give us strength make us wiser those that give us wisdom make us want to help or heal, those that heal us make us want to be better and so it goes. So what is the silver lining, for me it's the simplistic things in life I'm appreciating. My meditations reminding me of calmness of mind. Seeing all the blossoms out reminding me that warmer days are ahead. The sounds of miss Freya at she purrs on my lap knowing this is her way of sending healing to me. Although I cannot see you my congration or my family at this time I look forward to that silver lining and seeing what everyone has discovered about this time and hearing about their silver linings. Please stay safe, stay well, stay healthy and stay home and don't forget your masks on the subject of masks silver lining I'm getting great use out of my many bandannas. May God and spirit bless you all Love and blessings The Rev
