23.01.2022 The VRA team navigated a tricky rescue for a horse that was trapped in a muddy dam. The exhausted equine endured a 3 hour rescue effort that saw the Volunteers up to their beards in murky water on a slippery slope. The rescue was aided by help from a local crane company. The animal was returned to solid land, clearly shaken. Thanks to all involved.

17.01.2022 A reminder to take your animals to high grounds these 2 horses took a bunch of carrots, a good nudge from our rescue team (some rope and a lot of elbow grease) to get them to cross to safer pastures. We are in for more rain and possibly greater flooding so please take your animals to where they will be safest.

13.01.2022 Look out - lots of water about Brunswick Rescue were out early this morning to assist residents caught in flood waters at Byron and later at Tyagarah. Stay safe - avoid low lying areas, causeways and flood zones where possible. Don't risk driving through bodies of water, depth and flow are hard to judge.
