25.01.2022 Penguin Island - Adventure Bay, Tasmania, Australia. Sony A7IV ISO100, f5, 1/250th sec, 16mm.

25.01.2022 Really??? It's a long way from Kettering to Bruny Or is it a case of 'the tail wagging the dog???'

25.01.2022 A very moody, stormy sunrise happening at Two Tree Point - location of where Captain James Cook (1777), and Captain (Mutiny on the Bounty) Bligh (a bit later than Cook) anchored their ships in Adventure Bay, Tasmania, Australia, to come ashore at this point to replenish their water. These two trees greeted them when their men landed, and still grace this spot today! Taken on Sony A77 at f22, 8 sec, ISO50 @ 11mm. 3 shot HDR.

24.01.2022 Sunrise at Adventure Bay, Bruny Island - location is Quiet Corner. Taken on Sony A900, f22, 4 second exposure, ISO100, 16mm #Tasmania

23.01.2022 Finally got to take my drone out at Bruny Island (Tasmania, Australia), yesterday. This shot of iconic Two Tree Point where Captain James Cook and Captain Bligh (Mutiny on the Bounty) sent crews ashore to collect fresh water (Cook in 1773 and 1777). Looking towards the township of Adventure Bay. Taken on Mavic 2 Pro - Hasselblad L1D-20c lens at f3.5, 1/80th second, ISO 100, 28m (35mm equiv). #brunyisland #tasmania #adventurebay #drone #dji

20.01.2022 Several years ago, I photographed this powerful sunrise at Simpsons Bay, South Bruny Island, looking towards the iconic Neck which divides North and South Bruny. Incredible colours that morning. Shot on Sony A900, ISO250, f4, 1/60th sec, 55mm.

20.01.2022 Two Tree Point, Adventure Bay, Tasmania, Australia at sunrise. Sony A7RIV f22, 1/30th sec, ISO 100, 16mm 3 shot HDR with 3EV.

20.01.2022 Intricate detail and rich, warm colours of sandstone cliff face beneath Adventure Bay Road, next to the beach. (Sony SLT A77V, f22, 1.6 sec, ISO50, 11mm)

20.01.2022 Two Tree Point, Adventure Bay, Bruny Island, Tasmania. A late afternoon shot with side light on the tree trunks. The same two trees Captains Cook and Bligh saw in their early exploration of the area (Cook 1777). #tasmania

19.01.2022 Had great success with this photo of Captain Cook Creek in an international forum.

19.01.2022 A bit of Tomfoolery on the shoreline at Adventure Bay with my RX10IV camera, set on ISO 64, 1/160th second at f3.5, at 32mm. Someone had thoughtfully arranged a rock stack, and this photo was on a still, early morning sunrise with soft golden light. What I didnt see initially, was a little Robin in the far bottom right hand corner, looking directly at the rock stack. The diagonal lines of the photo, combined with intricate detail in the rocks, contrasting against a clear blue sky, I felt tended to strengthen the composition.

18.01.2022 The beach at Adventure Bay, bathed in warm red morning light. Taken on Sony A77II, f22, 1/3 sec, ISO160, 11mm.

17.01.2022 Gorgeous sandstone cliffs at Quiet Corner, Adventure Bay, Tasmania.

16.01.2022 I have placed this ad in Saturday's Mercury newspaper for our holiday home on Bruny Island. Nice to be able to include my own photos and promote our incredible Island home. Main photo is a drone shot of Two Tree Point, Adventure Bay.

16.01.2022 I love these mornings on the beach with the sunlight radiating the mist rising off the crashing waves. So beautiful. Two Tree Point at Adventure Bay, Bruny Island.

15.01.2022 Another drone photo of Two Tree Point that received a number of international awards. This is such a picturesque spot.

15.01.2022 In the soft, early light of morning, you see the spectacular sandstone colours of yellow, orange and red fused into this ancient and wind-worn rock, embedded in the sand of Adventure Bay Beach, at Quiet Corner (Tasmania, Australia). Sony A77, f4, 1/60th sec, ISO100 @ 24mm.

14.01.2022 Very happy how this drone panorama turned out. Is of Two Tree Point at Adventure Bay, Bruny Island, Tasmania. #tasmania Taken on Mavic 2 Pro drone with Hasselblad L1D-20c camera at f2.8, 1/25th sec, ISO200, 10mm

14.01.2022 This photo is the result of 3 images, tone-mapped together to create a painterly style image of Two Tree Point, Adventure Bay, Bruny Island, Tasmania, Australia. These trees were there in 1777 when Captain James Cook moored in the bay, and his crew came ashore to get drinking water, before continuing their voyage of discovery to Sydney Town. This spot is close to our holiday accommodation, and a very special place for us to visit.

12.01.2022 A drone view looking back from Adventure Bay towards The Neck and beyond to kunyani/Mt Wellington in the background, with a view to the right of Cape Queen Elizabeth. Tasmania, Australia.

12.01.2022 Finishing up for the day with a few more of my Adventure Bay morning images. All taken on my Sony RX10IV. Now to clarify, this camera has quite a small sensor (1") compared to the much larger sensors found in full frame cameras, yet I continue to be blown away by the sharpness of the lens and the ability of the camera to produce amazing dynamic range and colour. Very happy :-)

12.01.2022 Around this time of year, Bruny Island is blessed with soft, warm sunrises, washing the shoreline. Several years ago, around this time of year, I took this photo of Quiet Corner, a safe anchorage tucked into Adventure Bay, of the low sun streaming across the bay and bathing the sandstone cliffs in soft golden hues. The absolute best time of day to be out and about! (Taken on Sony A900, f22, 1/5sec, ISO100, 16mm Zeiss lens). Location - Tasmania, Australia.

11.01.2022 Actually, Im just thinking ... maybe that drone shot would be better as a square image? Thoughts?

11.01.2022 Another majestic gum tree lining the road as you enter Adventure Bay.

10.01.2022 So delighted to have my sunrise drone photo of Two Tree Point, Adventure Bay, recognised in two international photography groups. A great way to promote our picturesque island!

10.01.2022 Morning Glory! Sunrise over beautiful Adventure Bay, Tasmania, Australia, showing intricate detail in the kelp fronds as the sun cracks the horizon over Penguin Island. Such an idyllic place! (4 shot HDR on Sony A77, f22, 1/60th, ISO100, 11mm)

08.01.2022 Bruny Island, south of Hobart, holds a special place in our heart. We have our holiday rental there; Adventure Bay Holiday Home. Being an island without a bridge, the only access is by ferry. Sealink Bruny Island are contracted to provide this service. This is a shot I took of their latest car ferry, 'Nairana' with the older 'Mirambeena' in the background, berthed at Kettering (Tasmania), prior to making it's crossing via D'Entrecasteaux Channel, to Bruny Island, a couple of months ago, in the very early morning. Mavic 2 Pro drone. f6.3, 0.5 sec, ISO100.

08.01.2022 I dont fly my drone anywhere near enough!!! Worried about public perceptions etc, however when I do take it out, Im constantly amazed at the different perspective this flying camera can provide. Here, an overview of my favourite Adventure Bay, Bruny Island, Tasmania, Australia. Shot on Mavic 2 Pro drone, f3.5, 1/100sec, ISO100.

07.01.2022 Another beautiful morning on Bruny Island. Taken near our holiday home at Hanssons Beach, Adventure Bay, looking out towards the landmark Penguin Island. Sony A77II, f4, 1/60th sec, ISO160, 24mm.

06.01.2022 This is another drone shot of Adventure Bay, overlooking Two Tree Point, towards Coal Point and The Neck in the background. Very early in the morning last weekend. Very soft light. Taken on Mavic 2 Pro drone at f2.8, 1/8th second, ISO200, 28mm (35mm equiv). #Brunyisland #tasmania #adventurebay

05.01.2022 Similarly with this sunrise shot of Two Tree Point at Adventure Bay

05.01.2022 I had the opportunity to take a drone panoramo over North Bruny Island at Dennes Point (Tasmania, Australia). The view is north, towards the Dentrecasteaux Channel and beyond to Hobart. Totally different landscape to South Bruny where Adventure Bay is, and where I photograph mostly. But, nonethesless, this is amazing scenery. Taken on Mavic 2 Pro drone at f2.8, 1/250thsec, ISO200 24mm. #tasmania

05.01.2022 Close up of my little kookaburra, sitting on our fence at Adventure Bay, Tasmania, Australia. I have learned this Australian species of native bird are not actually native Tasmanian birds; rather an introduced species to tackle our snake problems in the early days of settlement. Still, they are really cute and their laugh is very distinctive. Taken on Sony A7III camera with 200-600mm lens, set in crop mode at 900mm, f6.3, 1/640th sec, ISO2000. 17/9/21.

05.01.2022 A fun shot of Cloudy Bay Beach, South Bruny Island, converted to a painterly effect. Is there any part of Bruny that is not stunningly pretty? #BrunyIsland #Tasmania

04.01.2022 This is another drone shot in the same series as my recent sunrise shots. This time a little later in the morning, and again, of our iconic Two Tree Point at Adventure Bay, Bruny Island, Tasmania. Mavic 2 Pro drone.

04.01.2022 Two soft morning views of Adventure Bay looking across Captain Cook Creek and out to sea. Anyone who knows the area is so often dazzled with wonderful and expansive sunrises and clouds. Sony A900 (1st shot - f22, 5 sec, ISO100, 16mm), (2nd shot - f22, 0.8sec, ISO100, 16mm).

04.01.2022 Rocks embedded in sand and covered with mossy green seaweed at Hanssons Beach, Adventure Bay, Bruny Island, Tasmania, Australia. Shot on Sony A77, f22, 0.8sec, ISO50,11mm.

03.01.2022 Very early morning in The Blue Hour at Captain Cook Creek, Adventure Bay, Bruny Island #BrunyIsland #Tasmania Sony A77II, f22, 4 sec, ISO100, 16mm

02.01.2022 Looking towards Penguin Island from the Fluted Cape Track, Adventure Bay, Tasmania, Australia. Sony A7RIV at f5, 1/60th second, ISO 100, 16mm.

01.01.2022 Soft, golden light side-lighting rocks on Hewnstone Head, Adventure Bay, Bruny Island, Tasmania, Australia. Taken on Sony RX10IV, ISO64, f16, 1/6th second.

01.01.2022 An early morning boat ride to pick up cray pots in the Gulch at Adventure Bay, Tasmania, Australia. Such gorgeous light. Sony RX100II.
