14.01.2022 Breakdown Service: Client: Compressor motor is shooting out flames. 75Kw Helium Compressor open drip proof motor. Tested motor and found a bolted short across all windings. Removed motor from compressor, strip down to assess damage and found a significant blow out on the vented suction side of the motor. Suggested route cause: accumulation of moisture and dust build up on the stator windings.... We had Peter from Precise motor rewinds who is our motor rewind specialist rewind the motor. We also modified the motor adding stator winding anti condensation heaters and thermistor sensors as precautionary measures, and we will be modifying the control system to suit in order to offer enhanced motor protection. Our turn around time on this was only 3 days. #emergencybreakdown #trustedindustrialelectricians
