25.01.2022 Happy Birthday Dr Emma. 30 years young today! Thanks to Dr Kevin for the lovely cake!

24.01.2022 Poor little Frida got stung by a bee this week. Her owner brought her straight to us for treatment and cuddles! Watch out for bees now that the weather is getting warmer . If your dog gets stung or has a puffy face call us straight away as in some cases the swelling can block their airways, prompt treatment helps to prevent this. We are happy to report Frida is back to normal

23.01.2022 HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Dr Maddie!

Dear Clients, Please be advised that after the South Australian Government announced the 6-day lockdown that we will now be following a strict protocol which aligns with this. ... 18.01.2022 HAPPY BIRTHDAY Nurse Jesse! 21 today!! Hope you enjoyed your Kinder Surprise cake, courtesy of Nurse Nat.

17.01.2022 HAPPY VET NURSES DAY! Thank you for all of your hard work, you do many jobs for us and we appreciate everything you do.

15.01.2022 Even though Lily is only 6 weeks old, she is already old enough for a Throw Thursday! She was born at our clinic after her Mum got into difficulty giving birth to her. Look how much she has grown!

14.01.2022 Lucy the French Bulldog came in for desexing and to have her nose and throat surgery to help her breathe better. While here she got the gold star treatment! The second photo shows the big difference this surgery makes for our brachycephalic (short face) breeds. The left nostril is before surgery, the right one has been corrected to allow better airflow and subsequently better oxygenation. The 3rd photo is Lucy after both her nostrils have been corrected, she looks pretty happy with the results! If you have a bracycephalic dog, it is best to get their nostrils assessed by your vet when they are a puppy, the sooner it is done (usually at 6 months) the greater the benefits.

13.01.2022 Friendly little Pepe (he's so friendly we can't get a still photo!) had to have surgery recently as he'd eaten a whole container of hair ties, which got stuck and blocked up his stomach (see xray). He had his final checkup tonight and is back to his cheeky, curious ways!

12.01.2022 Kodie had a big surgery on her leg today. Here she is relaxing afterwards, we aim to keep our patients as comfortable as possible!

12.01.2022 BEFORE and AFTER! What a difference a haircut makes! Finn looks like a totally different dog!

10.01.2022 Teeny tiny Pippa had her big desexing operation yesterday. She enjoyed lots of cuddles and snuggles with Nurse Nat

10.01.2022 Happy Friday! Hope you get to have some relaxing/snoozing like Dr Emma's new pup!

05.01.2022 Good breakdown of what is going on under the surface of our brachycephalic (short-faced) dog breeds e.g. pugs, frenchies and why surgery can help certain elements but it cannot cure the underlying structural problems. Management of their weight and keeping them cool in summer is essential to reduce the risk of life-threatening respiratory distress.

04.01.2022 Today is R U OK? Day, a day where we are reminded to check on each other. It feels especially important this year with the pandemic. It is also very relevant to the veterinary industry, where there is a high rate of mental health issues and suicide. So make sure to check in on your loved ones, not just today but regularly. 03.01.2022 Post-dental snooze. How sweet does Kolby look waking up from his anaesthetic . Looks nice and cozy for this cold weather too!

01.01.2022 Little Chutney had surgery yesterday to correct her dislocating kneecap. Small dogs are very prone to a condition called Medial Patella Luxation, which is where the patella (kneecap) slips out of it's groove regularly, leading to a hopping/skipping movement. This abnormal movement leads to arthritis in the knee, so surgery is done to fix it back in place. If you notice your dog limping/hopping/skipping, book an appointment with your vet to get it checked ASAP.
