24.01.2022 As the saying goes we take the good with the bad. Unfortunately, our Variety 4WD Adventure event has been cancelled again this year due to the floods we're experiencing in NSW. But we would love to take this opportunity to acknowledge our wonderful 4WD Adventurer Sharon White who was our top fundraiser for the event raising a whopping $42,408 for Variety. 15.01.2022 Summer is traditionally a time to kick back, relax and have a bit of break from the routine of appointments and therapy sessions. Even if you are taking a break over the holidays, there are ways you can work on key skills without it feeling like 'therapy' for your child. 11.01.2022 Today we were meant to be celebrating the start of the 2021 Breakwater to Beach 4WD Adventure, a much anticipated trip. But sometimes no matter how badly you want it something bigger comes along to change things. Sadly, due to worsening weather conditions, road and bush track closures and the beaches and national parks currently off limits along the route the decision was made to cancel this years event. We cannot stress how grateful we are for the generosity of our Adventur...ers and how much we appreciate their understanding of the decision. This is not the first time we have had to ask this group for their understanding in such a manner (our 2020 4WD Adventure had a route change due to fires and then lockdown sent everyone home) but all have simply accepted the decision and worked to get themselves and their mates safely home. Thank you all for your commitment to Variety and the kids we're all here to help. Our thoughts go out to the communities we intended to visit and to all across the east coast who find themselves dealing with far, far too much water.

08.01.2022 A new research project has been created to better understand and address the health care and service needs of adolescents and young adults with cerebral palsy. The $2.5 million project led by the Murdoch Children's Research Institute (MCRI) will bring together leading researchers and clinicians in the field to improve the health and well-being of those aged 10-30 years with cerebral palsy and their families. 07.01.2022 Kallan has two passions in life, Tenpin Bowling & Photography . An incredibly talented tenpin bowler, Kallan shows sheer determination in competing over the last several years which has resulted in him receiving 140 medals and countless trophies. Having experienced autism, dyslexia, language delay and depression; Kallan has proved that he will not let anything get in the way of pursuing his dreams. He is truly resilient and an inspiration to us all.... 05.01.2022 On the recent Postie Bike Dash, we visited the bushfire affected town of Bowraville. While we were there we chatted to David Taylor, Principal of Bowraville Central School. He told us what a difference the laptops that Variety granted his students has made to their school during a pandemic and beyond. 03.01.2022 After a week of riding through some glorious Aussie countryside we have finally arrived back where it all started, still cold but thankfully drier than when we left. We struck a bit of "traffic" along the way (check the story highlights if you didn't see it) but it was so worth it. Together they have raised over $50,000 for kids in need. We're still seeing an increased demand for our grants and programs so this money will very quickly make its way to the kids who need it the most. Particular thanks to Pickles and Pivotel for your support making this week happen. And to the guys behind the camera Justin Worboys Photography and #mattrussell thank you for capturing the trip for us all, if only you could capture all our holidays.
