20.01.2022 Today the 28th October is the birthday of Swami Subodhananda, a direct disciple of Sri Ramakrishna. Born in 1867, he was a very guileless, amicable sadhu who was liked by everyone. While studying in class eight he heard about Sri Ramakrishna from his father who was a follower of Brahmo Samaj. One day in 1884 Subodh walked all the way to Dakshineswar in the company of a friend. Sri Ramakrishna received them with great love. Slowly, he started frequenting the temple garden at Dakshineswar and began practising spiritual disciplines under the guidance of Sri Ramakrishna. 09.01.2022 We had an unprecedented hail storm at around 2.15 pm today. Hailstones of the size of larger than a golf ball pounded on the roof and also damaged a few cars of devotees who had parked them at the Centre's car park.
