10.01.2022 Our kind of drink. Summer fresh. #Repost @sideshowpete_ with @get_repost Would you believe at one point in history people were terrified of cucumbers? It's true. But not the way cats are, but because they could kill. Turns out in the 17th century many actually died from disease brought on by raw vegetables. And for one reason or another, the cucumber got the worst of it.... . So we mixed up the Sir Batten's Cry. This cocktail is muddled heavily with cucumber to impart that cool flavor, then we add a few other fantastic ingredients to bring it all together into one smart tipple. Sip back and enjoy! . To prepare, muddle 4-5 slices of cucumber in a shaker to nearly a paste. Add ice and the other ingredients, shake. Double strain over fresh ice, top with tonic. Garnish. . Sir Batten's Cry 1.5 oz Premium Gin 0.5 oz Velvet Falernum 0.75 oz Lime Juice Tonic Water Cucumber Garnish . P.S. Sir Batten found a neighbor dead from eating cucumbers as reported in a found historical journal. . . #cocktail #drink #party #bar #summertime
