22.01.2022 II FRAMING CURIOSITY II Thank you @randomactsofgreen for sharing a wonderful way to see, connect and love our natural world. I the simplicity of this. The reused cardboard, the invite to explore and the success in creating art by framing all those little wonders that otherwise, might go by unnoticed. Sometimes, I feel that is all it takes for a perspective check. Forever grateful to the wild world for the gifts you give us all everyday.

19.01.2022 II BUDDY II From a devine indoor life, now to outside living, creating habitat for the future.... the circle of life. In your little hessian bag, all curled up like you were still on the end of the couch, dearest Buddy (endearingly also known as Fat Cat and Lord Puddington), your lay back easy going teddy bear nature was sheer delight to live with. You showcased a relaxed life perfectly. Now, in life as a red gum, may your branches hold koalas, attract birds, be possum hi...ghways and dance in the nature wonderland that exists in our garden because you lived a life inside xxxxx That little paw that used to tap us to be patted, we are holding onto that memory big time @ Upper Sturt, South Australia, Australia See more

18.01.2022 II ALWAYS LOVE II Light bulb moment! Thank you @randomactsofgreen for this wonderful simple truth and daily reminder. May we act, choose, listen and consume always with love

17.01.2022 II HEART CENTRED ACTION II It really is that simple and it really does make a difference. Stay connected. @happy_brain_life your quotes are inspiring

16.01.2022 All you need to know about Kusamala! Where making a difference is REAL HEARTWORK!

11.01.2022 II KNOW THE LOCALS II I’ve known Moses Banda (affectionately known by to me as Rosie) for 8 years now. This is the most recent photo I have taken of him with his family. His wife cooks a wonderful groundnut spinach dish, I ooooh-ed over his new baby ducklings, his renovations are coming along, I got to meet his new grandson Reuben and even left after lunch with a handful of freshly grown chillis. So many times when we travel to another country, our cultural immersion is off...ered as a 1 hour optional tour into a chosen village, driving past rural life in the comforts of our safari vehicle. We wave back to smiling kids who are eager to yell out hello, how are you practicing the only English phrase they know. Maybe you might meet one local family and see the outskirts of their village and take a photo. Then your hour is up, back to your lodge where a gin awaits with the comforts that we know as home. Kusamala is about flipping that concept on its head, while still keeping the gin and comforts of home every evening. This tour is not 1 little hour of immersion, it is 9 days of opportunities to connect with the locals, invest in conversations and share mutual learning about culture, conservation and insight into a life unlike the ones we both know. It is about building connections and celebrating common links, sharing differences, empowering each other with authenticity that is worth bottling! Irrelevant of anyone’s background or story, it is when someone stops, listens, takes interest and shows they care, that value shines from the inside. Isn’t that what we all want? Below in the comments is a detailed outline of everything Kusamala - a video, a program and the accommodation..... spots still available for the tour in August! Wildlife protection depends on these connections xx I’d love you to join me

10.01.2022 II I SEE YOU II Hello to the Blossom I adore the way you burst open, celebrate new beginnings, attract a buzz, and bring fragility to the hardy native wonderland that surrounds you. Your exotic nature inspires a spring in my step. Thank you

07.01.2022 II STRENGTH IN UNITY II Thank you @louieschwartzberg for your tireless efforts to share the beauty of nature, and for so often highlighting the wonder of the ones that can so easily be overlooked. I adore this image of yours... Check out Louie’s time lapse photography. It has the gift of bringing out the OMG’s and WOW’s. I trialled it with yr 2/3 students the other day at school, an audience that had voted to watch Mr Bean cartoons at recess and instead got Louie’s 4min beauty of pollination’ video - it works!!!! May we be united together by a love of wildlife. Nature needs us to see, feel and share it’s awe so we can be strong in protecting it together

07.01.2022 II JUST US II Glorious day Tall trees that make me feel small Furry heartbeat at my side Filling my well in nature ... With Kusamala Tours to Zambia now on hold until further notice, new creative ways to make a difference go to seed. Being at one with nature is an incredible realignment for the soul See more

05.01.2022 II ULTIMATE SUCCESS II Thanks to @ecoquotes for this wonderful way of sharing such a simple commitment to our world. I’m in love with really how easy it is to share a wow moment or an awe feeling given to us from wildlife. The gift of story telling lights up the soul. Sharing this wonder is what builds connections to our world and inspires people to act. To me, this is the ultimate and successful love story

02.01.2022 II STORIES ARE ALL AROUND II There is something very magical about leaving only footprints. Transient stories in the earth with those you love, that may, or may not, ever be shared with another beyond that moment. They are so much more than footprints. On your next walk, remember to look out for tracks in the earth; the signs of life that connect you to the bigger picture we all live in. We are surrounded by stories.
