25.01.2022 BRINGING INDOOR PLAY ...OUTSIDE? Absolutely!. As educators its easy to get overwhelmed with routine and miss the fun in learning. There are so many play experiences and resources that we traditionally use as indoor learning experiences, that can easily be moved outdoors to extend the learning opportunities. Why not bring home corner or doll play outdoors, set up a farmyard or fairy hollow, play musical instruments, read stories on a mat or construct with blocks on a lovely... sunny day?. #indoor#play#fdc#outdoor#play# Caution: Requires implementation of SunSmart Policy. 18.01.2022 At Bubbles this month in regards to National Quality Standard(NQS) we are focusing on the quality area 1: Educational program and practice. So keep an eye out for help tips for your curriculum plans

16.01.2022 Helpful tip Alert: With today being the last day of September, this helpful tip concludes our focus on the NQS-Quality Area 1: Educational Program and Practice! When writing your curriculum plans its important to consider experiences and activities. These are the experiences and activities that the children will be engaged in throughout the week. When deciding what experiences need to be added on to the curriculum plan, use the collection of documentation from the learning ...thats going on. Using these, you should than think about an experience that extends upon the interest of the child, develops further learning and masters a skill, the parent suggestions and child inputs. Ideas from any of these can form activities for your curriculum plans. Details of the experiences need to be provided when adding them to your curriculum plans, thus what this experience actually is. It shouldn't have to be too detailed but enough detail is required so that others (ie the coordination stuff and parents) can understand what youre referring to. Looking forward to October and focusing on NQS-Quality Area 2: Children`s Health and Safety. #helpfultips#bubbles#NQS#educational#

11.01.2022 When making decisions about your educational program keeping the following in mind is important: 1)the program should cover all parts of the childs experience, rather than just special activities. 2)the program doesn't have to be a timetable. 3)You can organise your program in a variety of ways, and it doesn't have to be organised by traditional developmental domains or activity ... areas. 4) Your program should help you offer choices to the children rather than restricting them. 5)Once you have established your educational program, you can focus on changes or additions to it and you don't have to mention every aspect of the program every time or whats always there. #helpfultips#familydaycare#bubbles#educational#programs# See more

08.01.2022 When planning your program its important to remember that every aspect of your family day care should enhance providing a good experience for the children in care. A good experience for children comes out of a continuing process of thinking ahead of time, organising and being prepared; paying attention to and noting what is happening and the learning that is going on ; reflecting on what you've noticed; and using what you`ve learnt to inform future plans. #helpfultips#familydaycare#bubbles#education#care#service#
