25.01.2022 This is from infasecure. Age isnt the best metric The reason age is so often referenced in relation to child restraints is because that is how the road rules are written, and theyre written that way so theyre easier to understand for parents and easier to enforce by police. But weve said it a number of times the law is the minimum when it comes to car safety.... The shoulder height markers that are sewn into new child restraints give a much clearer indication of suitability, compared to age. The physical size of the child is the critical component, as they are in essence wearing their child restraint, and it needs to fit just like their shirt, or their shoes. The law is age based but it needs to be size and the individual child based. This is another reason I base each fitting on the child.
24.01.2022 One thing I like to encourage with everyone is extended harnessing. This is one of the safest options for children in cars. I like to explain it this way, ... A racing car driver does not use a seat belt sash. They use a harness. In an accident they want to be as safe as possible. In a normal car accident your childs body is going to be encountering a lot of force. And you do not want that force being pushed against a sash that is going diagonally across their chest. There are a number of seats designed for extended harnessing. My daughter who is 5 and does not sleep in the car is in an INFA SECURE Emerge. This seat is not ideal for children who sleep still in the car, it is also very wide seat as well so when you need three seats across this is not the ideal seat. It does not have the best recline but it has a great strap adjust system using the twist and lift system. My son who is 3 is in a Maxi Guard. This seat is great as it has a fantastic recline, is narrower but at the same time has great internal space. The Maxi Guard can be confusing as it comes as a PRO or PRO+ The difference in these seats is they have Side Impact Cushion Technology, the fabric and the base model has only got mesh pockets where the others have cup holders. There is also the Baby Love ezy grow, this seat is the same design as the Maxi Guard but is designed to be budget friendly. These seats are designed from 12months until they outgrow them and can then use a booster if they do not pass the five step test for the normal car seat. Most people think because the law states you can put a child at 4years of age in a seat belt booster, they can put them in one. The fact is it is very rare for a child of this age to meet the entry marker to boosters. And even then your child is much safer in a harness. I have had people tell my daughter its a baby seat but as I explain to her. No it is not, it is the safest seat for you. And my job as your mum is to keep you safe. I am more then happy to meet with people at baby bunting to help with seat choice, I can suggest the seat that would be best for you via message or in person.
24.01.2022 I am very excited to have the privilege of installing my daughters pre school teachers car seat tomorrow for her first born Bub who is due very soon.
23.01.2022 For anyone who knows me. I have it in my head to check every seat. I just want all kids safe in their seats. Its why I did my certification as I had some people say your not qualified so what do you know.
23.01.2022 Did you know When installing a capsule the rebound bar does not have to be touching the seat. You can also used a rolled up towel under the base to get the right recline. ... The ideal recline is 45degress. You measure this at the shoulder straps with a compass app. This is the same for all rear facing seats.
22.01.2022 Would love to know what everyone would like to see with this page. I have lots of information, I can answer questions about seats and help as much as I can. If I am stuck I will do research and find the best seat/combo for you.
22.01.2022 This is very accurate. It is one of the reasons I have started this page. So I can come to clients. With children its hard to arrange a time and get everyone sorted and in the car on time to get to a fitting station. Then you have the stress of keeping your children happy and safe while the fitting is being done. I have had a few clients tell me already this is a great idea. ... Im glad I did my certification and decided to do this. See more

15.01.2022 Welcome to Bub's Buckled with Love, Mobile car seat fitting and checks. A little bit of information for all of you. I am a mother of two and have a passion for car seat safety. I recently completed my car seat certification course so I could offer a mobile fitting option to parents and carers. I was inspired by the local Car seat fitting seeing how wonderful of a job they were doing and seeing so many parents who had no idea their seats where not installed correctly gave me the motivation as well as support from family and friends to complete my certification.
13.01.2022 Over the next few days I will be posting a few things regarding car seat safety. If anyone would like a check or install please get in contact.
13.01.2022 The amount of times I have heard of car seats being called baby seats is crazy. Harnessed seats are not baby seats they are the safest seats for your child. Boosters are the step between a harnessed seat and no seat. Boosters help those children who are too small to fit safely on a seat. And to sit on a normal seat they need to pass the five step test so they are safe.
12.01.2022 I have stock with me when I come to check and install your seats. I have gated buckles and extension tether straps with me when I come to do installs and checks.

06.01.2022 Just for laughs. I love fitting seat but sometimes it can be a bit of a pain but I love it.
06.01.2022 Word is getting out about this page. Please keep sharing. The more likes the more I can help. I am mobile so I can come to you. No more trying to book in with baby bunting or trying to get to a fitting station. Then loading the kids in the car and hoping no meltdowns happen while your seat is getting checked or fitted.
05.01.2022 I have been very quiet lately but I am back and ready to post and encourage you all to share this page. Its not only my goal to install seats correctly. It also means teaching others the safest option for their children. I am a mum, I am passionate about car seat safety and I want to help families. ... Please share the page, for those that have had me install your seats please pass on your experience with me. I am here to answer questions, install seats, check seats you have installed. While I install or after I like to explain what I have done, why I have done it and for new parents or if you are unsure how to use the seat I will show you how.
04.01.2022 One thing I love about being passionate about car seat safety is teaching my children. My 5 yr old daughter knows she cant wear a jacket in her seat under her harness, can tell the person getting her in the seat if the straps need to be tighter and if the buckles come out she lets you know as soon as it happens. She is also aware the safest seat for her is a harnessed seat, despite other kids her age being in a seat belt sash she understands this is the safest seat and she... has even told kids before their seat isnt safe. now boosters are safe IF your child meets the markers. Now I dont encourage her to tell people that but I am beyond proud that she understands the safety and reason she is in the seat she is in. My children may still be harnessed at the age of 10 but for as long as they fit in a harnessed seat they will be sitting in it. Once they out grow it they will then move into a booster seat until they can pass this five step test. Some people believe I am too strict with this but its not an option when it comes to the safety of my children or any child I fit a seat for. I will always give you the best and safest seat option I know of. And if by any means I am doubting myself I will contact more experienced fitters for advise.
