24.01.2022 What if my child doesnt want to sit in their restraint? The safety of your child is most important, and you must be firm and consistent in ensuring that they are buckled up in their child restraint every trip - even if it is just a short trip around the corner. There may be times that your child wont want to sit in their child car seat or they might want to sit in the front seat, however, sitting in the backseat, using the right restraint for their age and size is a must.

17.01.2022 We are often told by parents that it can be difficult to have a car seat for every trip as different people drive their kids around. We have a couple suggestions that may help; - you can try swapping cars when someone else is picking up the children - owning spare child car seats... - you might be able to leave the childs car seat with the child so whoever is picking up your child can use it when they pick your child up - some services offer a child car seat loaning service, so it might be worth chatting with staff at your local service. Just remember it is the drivers responsibility to ensure all passengers are restrained. It is their role to ensure the safety of each of their passengers.

02.01.2022 We love answering questions that you have about keeping kids safe in cars. A common question we hear is; Can I use a second hand restraint? You need to be 100% sure that it hasnt been in a crash. If you are certain about this, it might also be an idea to have a restraint fitter check it for you. Manufacturers recommend that a restraint should not be used if it is more than 10 years old, or if the restraint is cracked, or the straps are frayed.... Feel free to send us any questions that you might have!

01.01.2022 How do I know when my child is ready to move out from a booster to the adult seat? The suggested minimum height to move your child to a car seat is 145cms. There are 5 steps that you can follow when they are sitting in the adult seat; 1. Is your child sitting with their back against the car seat,... 2. Can their knees bend at the edge of the seat, 3. Is the lap belt low and sitting on the tops of the thighs? 4. Does the shoulder belt sit across the middle of the shoulder and not high up on the neck or low/sitting across the edge of the shoulder? 5. Finally, can your child sit in this position for the entire journey? See more
