25.01.2022 This is a very interesting article that I found on the benefits of massage for pain relief. As a long-term suffer of lower back and more recently neck and shoulder issues myself, I know exactly how debilitating pain can be. It is an instinctive action to lay hands on the injured area, so it's not really surprising that massage can offer substantial relief.... The body is amazing, and sometimes it can be a case of mind over matter, especially when we all have such busy lives. However, taking a time out is increasingly important as stress is a contributing factor to many diseases. One caution, that I always discuss with clients is the importance of seeing a medical professional, particularly if the pain is new or has altered in some way. 06.01.2022 Help ease or prevent back pain by strengthening your posture chain muscles using Dr. Eric Goodman. I have suffer with prolapsed discs in the lumber lumbar region, and this is compounded with sacroiliac joint pain. There have been times when I have been completely incapacitated. I found a really great chiropractor, Amy Bowzaylo, when I was living in Bahrain, who recommended this training for me. Initially, I built up my strength by doing just over half the program 3 times a w...eek along with some other back strengthen exercises. It was really interesting to read Dr. Goodman's own back problems and how he developed his training. It was good to watch his other videos as well (also available on YouTube) that help break down the moves. As he advises, it isn't for beginners, just go at your own pace and get the 'founder' position first. This and the 8 yoga poses post from a few weeks ago, really help me prepare for the day.
