25.01.2022 Our new mud kitchen was stained in the school holidays and is proving to be a very popular area for our children to play. Our educators have been enjoying mud coffees and bowls of soup this morning . Whilst the children play in our mud area they are doing more than having messy fun. 23.01.2022 Last week we participated in Crazy Hair Day. Together we raised $101.95 to help in the fight against cystic fibrosis. Thankyou to all our wonderful families and their children for joining in and contributing a gold coin donation.

22.01.2022 Naidoc Week is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Our children will be participating in a range of experiences and discussions as we continue to honour and pay respect to our First Nations people.

20.01.2022 This week we topped up our sandpit. We couldn’t find the leak so have no idea where our sand goes, maybe some of our families know Our wonderful children helped educators move the sand. We are lucky to have a large sandpit that provides opportunities for our children to explore not only a therapeutic sensory experience but so many educational benefits, including social skills and mathematic concepts. We also prepped our mud area for an exciting delivery due in a couple of weeks stay tuned !

20.01.2022 Today we are celebrating Early Childhood Educators Day. Our educators have been given letters of appreciation, flowers and our staff room has some sweet treats. We want to thank every member of our team. Your passion for Early Childhood Education and the care you provide is our biggest asset at Budgewoi Preschool.

16.01.2022 This week is Speech Pathology Week. This years theme is communicating with confidence, which is certainly fitting for the work that our beautiful speech pathologist does within our preschool. We are so grateful to have had Selena as part of our team over the last 18 years. We are proud to offer her expertise and care to our families and their children. Over this time we have watched countless children flourish and gain skills to communicate with confidence. 15.01.2022 Making smiles, building connections, sharing the joy. That's what Buster and his dad Jeff do on a daily basis. Our children love when Buster walks past and they get to say hello to him . Buster, Jeff and his grandchildren have been building beautiful memories together with walks to the beach, swims and collecting shells . Today they shared their memories with us with a very thoughtful gift for our children, to also make memories with. Thank you Buster and Jeff, have a very Merry Christmas .

13.01.2022 We are looking forward to tomorrow. We have been into the preschool to set up, clean up and are excited for term 4. We are also looking forward to all the stories, photos and pictures about the children's holiday adventures.

06.01.2022 Our children are re-visiting the Take3forthesea movement. They are becoming aware of their capabilities in making a difference to the health of our waterways. Take 3 believes in simple actions to address complex problems. This is empowering for our children! Join us in taking 3 pieces of rubbish when visiting the beach. We can all make a difference!

03.01.2022 Over the last couple of weeks our children have been learning about pulley systems. We have watched the children explore physics and work collaboratively together as they gain understanding of simple machinery. This all began when a child shared he had seen a pulley used on an episode of Curious George. We have made our own pulley's using string, watched videos and had discussions on why pulley's are used. We love extending on the children's ideas and learning alongside them. We now have a real pulley system rigged up in the yard and many resources are being lifted up and down each day.
