07.01.2022 The election is this Saturday! Here's a wrap up of what the major parties have said so far. Greens: $3 million to begin planning a hospital in Melton and ensure the new government commence building in the next term of government. Labor: $2.3 million to begin planning and complete a business case for a new hospital in Cobblebank. Planning work will determine exact location, size and range of services the new Melton Hospital will provide and how it will link to other publi...c hospitals in western region. Liberal: Develop a comprehensive health service and infrastructure plan for Melbourne’s west that will examine population growth, map the current delivery of health services, assess current infrastructure and identify areas of unmet needs both now and into the future.

06.01.2022 GREAT NEWS! The State Budget has been released today and $2.4 million has been allocated to plan a new Melton Hospital!! This planning work will determine the location, size and range of services the hospital will offer. We'll continue to work with Steve McGhie MP and Jenny Mikakos MP to help progress a hospital in Melton and will continue to seek a commitment on a construction start date. 01.01.2022 We've been busy behind the scenes continuing to advocate for a hospital in Melton and are pleased to see that the tender for the Hospital Master Plan and Feasibility has gone out. Things are happening! We’re still seeking a commitment from the State Government to purchase the land for a new hospital in Cobblebank, as well as a commitment for construction to commence by July 2022 and for the hospital to be operational by 2026.

01.01.2022 THANK YOU! In the end we collected 21,370 signatures. As a community you made it clear that a rapidly growing community needs a hospital. Whilst the election is now behind us, the campaign to Build Melton Hospital continues. We will now work with the newly elected Daniel Andrews government including Steve McGhie Labor for Melton and Health Minister Jenny Mikakos MP to further progress a hospital in Melton, in particular seeking a firm commitment on a construction start date.
