20.01.2022 ... IS JAPAN COOL? CRAFTSMANSHIP https://www.ana-cooljapan.com/contents/craftsmanship/

19.01.2022 There will be extra training this Saturday morning 9 until 12 at my home dojo. We will continue with handbo jutsu and taijutsu.

18.01.2022 Last weekend was the Hanbo seminar in Hobart, hosted by Bujinkan Tasmania Dojo. Big thanks to Duncan Stewart for all his efforts in making the event run so smoo...thly and for his instruction over the weekend. I know I personally came away from it with a lot. Also thanks to the Tasmanian Bujinkan members who made us all feel so welcome again - and to all those from around Australia (and in Chris Chen's case .. the world) who came together for a great weekend of training. Finally thanks to Minako who is always busy working behind the scenes in helping these events run so smoothly and making time for the partners of the participants in organising activities outside of training for them too. 12.01.2022 Perfecting a martial art is not an easy path, says Hatsumi, casting his mind back over his own long journey. I have come as far as I have in this life out of ...my one great desire, to help lead other people to know the true ninjutsu, to know the true martial arts. It’s been fifty years since I first opened this dj, and at last I’ve been able to train and raise successors from all over the world. I’m just content that I have been able to pass on the true essence of martial arts. All I want now is for my deshi around the world to continue to learn and grow into outstanding people who can earn the respect of all. See more

09.01.2022 A couple of great photos from the Bushindenkai hang jutsu week end in Tasmania. Practicing in yoroi not only looks spectacular but alters the kamae and balance required when doing techniques.

08.01.2022 I'm looking forward to attending this 3 day seminar in August. Duncan Stewart will again be offering some deeper insights into the art of Hanbo jutsu. With a broad range of local and international attendees, it should be fun.

07.01.2022 Here is a great little video demonstrating the modern application of some familiar techniques.

06.01.2022 The most important thing is taihenjutsu. The ability to change the body requires more than just weightlifting strength. Those who merely "bulk up" lose the esse...ntial freedom and resilience required to perform ninpo taijutsu. As always, a balance is the key. This is the training, to seek a balance in body, mind and spirit. As students, please discern well of who openly walks the path to strive for this balance. If you look at the Japanese Shihan carefully, you will be able to be guided correctly. However, if you are full of animosity, ego or your own bad habits, you will struggle to learn properly.
