13.01.2022 Feedback from the Clontarf Academy visit to Bukudal from Yirrkala Director Robert Clements: "On behalf of the Yirrkala, Katherine, and Jabiru Academy, I would like to thank yourself and all you the men who ran the Bukudal Camp. All the students and staff had a great time and have commented that this experience has been the highlight of the Clontarf year thus far. Barayuwa in particular was fantastic in leading the camp, making us all feel extremely welcome and comfortable vis...iting his Country. The hospitality and manner at which he addressed the boys was excellent, always very clear, and informative, which made for a fun and educational experience. All Academies have commented that the highlight of the trip was making the spears. and being able to take these home as a memento. The Bukudal staff provided great assistance while cutting the shafts, and were very helpful during the construction stages around the fire... .... All in all the camp was fantastic. Both myself, Hamish, and the other 2 staff from Jabiru and Katherine will highly recommend Bukudal to other Clontarf Academies. Jabiru and Katherine have expressed a strong interest in returning the same time next year, so if we could lock this in before the end of this term (DEC 16) that would work well as were in the midst of planning for 2012 at the moment. We got plenty of great photos so I'll send some through shortly. Thanks once again for a great camp and we look forward to many more to come.
