20.01.2022 This time 12 months ago, we were painting fences, scrubbing walls, and designing service areas (all things completely new to us). 12 months on, we have an incredible local following, confidence in running a small business, and a great sense of fulfillment in what two primary school teachers can achieve when they put their heart and soul into it. We love what we do, and we cannot wait to see what the next 12 months has in store for Bula Vinaka. Thank you to everyone who has supported us in following our dreams. 17.01.2022 THANK YOU ASHGROVE After just under two years, this Sunday we will be saying goodbye It has been one amazing journey, and we cannot thank the community for the tireless support and kindness that we have received all along.... We have seen relationships develop, friendships form, babies grow and puppies becoming even bigger puppies It was something that started from nothing but good intentions, zero experience and big dreams, and has become a place that we are truly proud of. We have hosted weddings, 21st birthdays, Fiji BBQs, Curry Nights, Christmas parties, Bridal and Baby Showers, survived through COVID, and everything in between We have met some of the most incredible people who have left a special mark in our hearts from their kindness, genuine friendship, and sincerity during our whole time at Bula We will forever look back with nothing but sheer joy from our time at this special place and will surely miss it deeply. There are far too many people to thank individually, but to those at the Bowls Club, our amazing staff, everyone within the community and of course Mum and Dad, we will be forever grateful Rest assured, we have left our baby in the safe hands of the lovely new owners, Dan and Alli who will only continue to take this magical place to another level We are certainly looking forward to catching up with you all over a coffee in the near future Thanking each and every one of you once again from the bottom of our hearts. 15.01.2022 Today marks 1 year at Bula Vinaka What a journey it has been, with lots of smiles, a few tears, but so much love and laughter. Our first day at the cafe saw James setting up before heading school and Shika was manning the shop alone. I remember calling Shika at 1st break at school and we were so excited that we had sold (I think) 10 coffees for the day! We were absolutely amazed by the win that day ... We have hosted a wedding, catered for over 150 people, held 2 fijian BBQ nights, and completely exceeded every expectation we had of the place this time last year. We are so proud of calling Bula Vinaka ours, and we couldnt be more thankful to everyone who has supported us this year.
