19.01.2022 TAKE ACTION! This is how can you help protect biodiversity in the resorts: - Keep an eye out for the invasive Hawkweed - Be a responsible pet owner - Reduce, reuse, recycle and get a Living Bin from Alpine Central and join our compost program... - If you hit an animal on the road, always stop and check its pouch and call for animal rescue if there's a baby - Never remove native flowers from the resorts, they are all protected - Only put water down the drains. Oils and chemicals can end up in our waterways https://youtu.be/hSVXD0kHgAQ

19.01.2022 As part of biodiversity month, September 7 is Threatened Species Day. You've probably heard of the Mountain Pygmy-possum, but there are other species here that are in trouble. The cute Broad-toothed Rat and our unique Alpine Stonefly are both vulnerable. You can help by never bringing pet cats into the resorts, keeping your dog on a leash and only using live traps in your accommodation. Don't forget to tell your friends and help raise awareness about these cool creatures.

As an ambassador for a government study on biodiversity loss, we thought it would be appropriate to share this cool video for Biodiversity Month. Lyre birds were almost driven to extinction but protection methods have saved the species. Lyre birds can live to be 20 years old! Thankfully, they are a common sight on Mt Buller and Mt Stirling. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VjE0Kdfos4Y

10.01.2022 Please find attached today's COVID-19 post for the Mansfield community. Note that our next post will be Monday Transcript of this post can be read here: Today w...e report that there is one additional confirmed COVID-19 case within the Mansfield Community, taking our active confirmed cases to five. It is anticipated that by early next week four of those five cases, will be symptom free and no longer be considered active and their period of isolation will have expired. It is reassuring that the latest case has been isolating prior to developing symptoms. This is another great example of our community doing the right thing right from the ‘get go’ and helping us to contain the spread of the virus. We should all be appreciative of the responsible action taken by this Mansfield resident and we wish them a speedy recovery. Once again this shows how infectious COVID-19 is and highlights the need for us to remain vigilant at all times. Our testing clinic continues to operate seven days per week. Today together with the Mansfield Medical Clinic and Central General Practice we undertook 16 tests. Testing is a high priority of the Victorian Government and there is in excess of 20,000 tests undertaken each day.
