The position is initially a six month maternity leave contract which has the potential for ongoing employment for the successful applicant. ... The position is Permanent Part Time, approximately 20-25 hours a week including a Saturday morning shift. Rostering can be flexible for the right candidate. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work with our dedicated and passionate team of pharmacy staff in a progressive and supportive working environment. 02.01.2022 SAVE LIVES Clean your Hands The recommendations for hand hygiene includes applying an alcohol-based hand rub to the surface of hands or washing hands with the use of a water and soap or a soap solution.... But what if you suffer with Eczema or Irritant Contact Dermatitis.? The repetitive use of these products can cause significant skin irritation and may cause already painful conditions to worsen. How can you reduce skin irritation when we must adhere to hand hygiene practices. Some things you may not know: Washing hands with soap and water immediately before or after using alcohol based cleansing products is not necessary and can cause excess dryness of the skin. Making sure you are drying your hands very well after cleansing your hands is very important particularly before placing gloves on as the moisture can cause an increase in skin irritation. Use of hot water when cleansing our hands may make irritation worse. What can you do to reduce the risk of irritation.? Hand lotions and creams contain oils and fats that increase the hydration levels in the skin, choosing a fragrance free product to moisturize your hands at regular intervals over the day may minimize the risk of contact dermatitis. Barrier creams that form a protective layer on the surface of the skin may assist to reduce the irritation that occurs from constant hand cleansing. Soap free cleansing alternatives have the same PH as the skin and using these for cleansing the hands may protect from dryness and inflammation. If possible use alcohol rubs to cleanse hands as reducing regular contact with water may decrease the risk of suffering with contact dermatitis.
