25.01.2022 We regret to inform our members, Volunteers, Sponsors and guests that our next scheduled event being Sunday 26th July 2020 has been cancelled. The committee has made this difficult decision to cancel because the Insurance Underwriter "Lloyds of London" have confirmed that at present, they will not be reissuing any Third-Party Insurance Policy’s for Powerboat Racing at this time due to the current Covid-19 Pandemic. We understand that this decision may cause great inconvenienc...e for you, your team and families and we are sincerely sorry. The committee has all been working tirelessly to provide a positive outcome, although time has been against us and we would not have been able to resubmit new applications to Maritime Safety and Bundaberg Council with adequate notice before the proposed event date. The club is working with our brokers and other Powerboat Clubs across Australia to remedy the situation as quickly and cost effectively as possible. Unfortunately, Bundaberg Powerboat Club was the first Club up for renewal this year and therefore the first to be affected. I would like to thank David Toyer President, APBA National, Rhoda Wojcikewycz, from Mid North Coast Speedboat Club, and Brad Neilson, from Mackay Powerboat Club for their advice and support and we all hope this can be rectified in the very near future. 22.01.2022 On behalf of the Bundaberg Powerboat Club committee, we would like to thank everybody for another great Bundy Fun Club Day on Sunday. 38 boats attended covering 8 classes for our first race event of the year, with more boats to attend our May round. A huge thank you to all our sponsors, Zaks Meats, The Battery Barn, Scott Burke Electrical, Swick Automotive and Extreme Marine. A huge thank you to all our volunteers and a special thank you to Peter Spicer for taking on the role of Officer of the Day.

22.01.2022 Well, that didn’t go to plan. Race 1 Jason in the 25hp boat started out of pole 3, all went well at the drop of the flag and managed to pull a few boat lengths... down the front straight, that’s when it all turned pear shaped, hit something on the right rear corner that picked the back of the boat up and sent him side ways, managed to regroup and finished the race in 3rd. Back at the ramp we found that what ever he hit put a hole in the bottom of the boat and the flex from the spin split the deck, gotta say I’m not real happy, but I guess, that’s racing. Josh managed a 2nd from pole 4 and drove well in the breezy conditions with the wind coming straight down the back straight. All in all Josh ended up with 2 x 2nds, a third and a First. 21.01.2022 The Committee is "VERY" excited to announce that our next race day will be Sunday 26th July at Sandy Hook, Bundaberg. This was to be our 2-day race event however due to the current health crisis that event will now take place in October. This race day will of course be carried out in accordance to restrictions and advise from both local and state government departments. 20.01.2022 Sunday 18th October BP Airport Pro-Classic! A massive thanks must go to Kurt and the team from Wessel Petroleum for sponsoring this event once again. 19.01.2022 With the restrictions beginning to be slowly lifted, there has been a few inquires about the 2020 Rum City Classic in July. The event has been cancelled by council. At this stage it is still unknown when large crowds will be allowed to gather and due to the amount of work required to put this event on it would not be possible in such a short space of time. The committee is committed to begin racing as soon as we can and will do our best to get a Fun Day happening as soon as... we are able. Watch this space for Updates!

19.01.2022 BECOME A SPONSOR As the club continues to grow we are always looking for New Sponsors to support each class that competes at our events. We already appreciate all our current sponsors and try to help them in return by encouraging them to be at our events, display any advertising material, banners etc, logo recognition on both our Facebook and Website pages and have their business's mentioned during the commentary over the public address system on the day of each event. 10.01.2022 Bundaberg Powerboat Club would like to thank everybody for attending todays race day at Sandy Hook. Although not advertised to the general public due to our Covid Plan, 42 boats entered and 41 raced our Fun Day. A huge thank you must also go to all our volunteers as without their continued support we cannot go racing. How lucky we are to be in Queensland at his present time to continue to enjoy our sport. We send our best to all other clubs around Australia that due to this c...urrent crisis are not as lucky as were presently are. We will still be operating under our Covid safe plan, so you must sign in and get an armband to be in the pit areas. Nominations forms and payment must be in by Wednesday 2nd December 2020. 03.01.2022 WE GOT OUR INSURANCE!!!!! We are very happy to announce that the Bundaberg Powerboat Club has now secured the $20 Million Third Party coverage required to go racing!!! A huge thank you to Dane Jones who passed on the contact for us to contact that led to this great news. Thank you also to all the people who came forawrd to help in this matter.... This is also great for other Independant Clubs with their policys due to lapse over the coming months. We are now looking to run a Club Day early in September as a lead up to our 2 day Spectacular Event in mid October. Stay tuned for more details in the next few days. See more
