07.01.2022 This week I am sharing my top tips for healthy glowing skin!! Saturday's Tip: Sleep. Are you getting 8-9 hours of sleep per night to re-energise your skin? If n...ot, here are a few ideas you can try: Magnesium tablets to relax the muscles. See a naturopath for a sleep remedy and calming herbs. Un-stimulate your brain by switching off your phone, computer and TV 2 hours before bed. Read a book or listen to relaxing music instead. Remove all electronics from the bedroom. Have a warm foot bath or a hot bath with lavender essential oil and epsom salts. Turn down the lights, use only lamps and candles in the evenings. Meditate for 10mins before bed, a simple meditation is to deepen your breathing and then count each breath. Cut out caffeine after 2pm, this includes coffee, green tea and chocolate. Cut out stimulants in the evening such as alcohol, sugar, chilli, onions and garlic. If you haven’t exercised throughout the day take a 20min slow walk after dinner. A good night's sleep is so important to heal and repair our skin cells and to keep our skin looking fresh and radient! See more
