25.01.2022 Aha! So it is Halloween. The time of year when kids dress up in awesome costumes and scoff copious amounts of lollies. Get into it. I just framed up 8 classic 80's slasher film prints for Dane who, like me, appreciates these fantastic pieces of cinematic history. He sent me a photo after he set them up in his theatre room. Looks cool! Thanks Dane! Stay safe kids during Halloween. On that note, it was Day for Daniel yesterday. Now, like you I followed the case of that little ...man from the day he disappeared to the day the monster was caught. Now I have a "bucket list" of things I wish to complete and one is to just walk up to Daniels Mum and just give her a hug one day. I have an immense amount of admiration for Bruce and Denise Morcombe. To see them and sort of be on the journey with them over the years, we could see the pain they were going through. I have a Day for Daniel lanyard at my workstation and think of him most everyday. Anyway have a nice weekend, Dallas. Misfits - Halloween 102.5 https://www.youtube.com/watch #dayfordaniel See more

25.01.2022 Ya would not believe it! I just wrote all the blurb below and a Guy just walked in with a job and he bought it on the spot SOLD!!! Andrew is an old school car guy and have done work for him over the years. He is a top fella. Out of the blue a couple of years ago he gave me a model of the Monaro Pursuit car from MAD MAX as he knows I collect that stuff. Champion. I love my job and my clients. Happy it is gunna hang in his house. Life is good. Hey Ho, I am going to implement s...ome changes in my work and personal life next year. One is to start selling all my personal art collection I have stashed. I have started to do this already and I will be putting some of it up for sale through various channels. Here is a Limited Edition print 30/100 of a XY GT Ford I have had for years. I just double matted it and used TRU VUE 70 glass. Now you all know how famous these Aussie Muscle cars are. Australian racing history. Now you could be the proud owner of this beautiful framed print if you give me 380 clams! You know ya want it. Santa told me that lots of old school Aussie boys would love it hanging it in the shed for all his Mates ta gaze upon. So get the cash and buy it for him and you will be very popular Xmas Day. The other thing as that if I sell this I will put the funds towards paying for my XB GT replica project getting underway. Jules said " If you want to build another car you better start selling some of your stuff and make some room". Fair enough. Have a fast day, Dallas. Now lets go for a lap around Bathurst with this dude. This is real racing. Turn the stereo up in the media room kids. I must admit I do enjoy driving around like an idiot in my XB (But not endangering the general public) and thought about putting a 4 speed top loader in it but I really do think I would kill myself so best not. Auto is great fun anyway. Yager Performance, XY-GTHO, Race 3 "no music" https://www.youtube.com/watch See more

24.01.2022 Well Joanne might have but old Peter Falconio certainly did not. Poor bloke. All a bit suss I reckon. She knows. A dingo did not shoot him that's for sure! But hey, that's just my opinion. Here is my fav AC/DC song. Love it loud! Turned up to 11! And the best Marvel movies. Robert Downey JR is cool! Cheers, Dallas. 24.01.2022 Well it's Halloween! Now as per my previous post, here is another little gem I have had stashed in my vault. Just framed it up and ready for sale. This is an original 1978 Australian version HALLOWEENdaybill. It is considered the "Holy Grail" of Aussie horror movie daybills. Very rare, expensive and highly sought after in the collector world. It is different to overseas versions as they only have knives in the image as opposed to our version which has Micheal in it. I have ...triple matted it, with Tru Vue 70 glass and a beautiful Italian moulding. Very classy for the discerning horror fan who wants to have a special and rare item. I have seen these sell unframed for over 1000 bucks in the past. I want 950 bucks framed. If it sells, good if not good. I will never get another. My son is gunna be not a happy man if I move it on but he does alright with other stuff framed. I am going ta frame up my original Nightmare on Elm Street for him. Have a happy Hellish time and keep ya kids safe if they go wandering the streets. Cheers, Dallas. Here is a favourite song from the DK's. Another one of my lifes anthems. Maybe a bit offensive at the end if ya sooky. It's punk! DEAD KENNEDYS Halloween https://www.youtube.com/watch See more

23.01.2022 These diamond bead thingos sure are all the rage at the moment. Been doing heaps of them. 3 just done for Michelle and more ta go. Cheers, Dallas. One for us Rock and Roll soldiers in the KISS Army! KISS - Black Diamond - 1975 https://www.youtube.com/watch

22.01.2022 Hey! Here are a couple of paintings I just stretched and framed. And an old Bruce Lee poster I just unearthed. I had this up on my bedroom wall as a young kid. With my KISS US Tour poster and a chick lying on a Lamborghini! I will frame it up soon. Bruce was a real life superhero. Incredible man. Love watching his movies and interviews. And philosophies. Have a great day and be like water my friends! Bruce Lee: Be like water (Inspirational) https://www.youtube.com/watch

21.01.2022 Hey you mob! I thought I best stick my head up and wish you lot a HNY! Hope this one is better for all the world. I am having my usual month off. I did about 3 months work in the last 6 weeks of the year. Got through a huge workload. I was gunna start back on the 21st but if I scam a couple more business days off I can have another 6 days off due ta the weekend and public holiday. So I will start officially back full blast on the 27th of January, day after Aussie Day holiday.... I have plenty of work already and will be keen and fresh ta rip into the new year. I am enjoying the time off and getting all the little personal and household chores done that I never get around to. And cleaning the shop and a bit of maintenance. If you do need anything done pronto I can probably knock it up as I have been doing a few jobs ta help my clients. Give me a call if you wish. Some clown rang me and was quite demanding that i do a job for him last week. I said politely I was having a break with my family. He said "I really want it done as I AM on holidays". I asked why it was alright that he has a holiday but how dare I have a holiday and not help him out. No answer. Point taken. What me worry! My Mummy always taught me "You get further in life using honey than vinegar". Well I am off ta mow my lawns, again. Get some sun on me. Have a nice day and all the best for 2021. Cheers, Dallas. 20.01.2022 Hey Ho, Here is a couple more shirts I cut up for Angus and framed. Got heaps ta do since I reopened and have been cutting mats and prepping jobs for 2 weeks solid. Got about 75 frames ta cut and join this weekend and put that lot together next week and then start the next batch. Flat out! Aaaaargh! Have a fat weekend, Dallas. 18.01.2022 Oi! As per my previous post regarding the lucky young lady winning a truckload of cash in lotto. Here is the "Cheque" and official letter she received all framed up flash. Again she is a great lady and I am sworn ta secrecy on our conversations regarding her and what she has done with the loot. I was extremely happy that she told me about a substantial donation to a cause very close to my heart and again proves to me why she is an exceptionally good person. As I did not win that money I am bloomin' glad she did. All the best, Dallas. Motörhead Eat The Rich (Official Video) 104.2 https://www.youtube.com/watch

16.01.2022 Hey Ho! Here are a heap of jerseys (and sports stuff) I framed up for Santa. Have done hundreds over the year! I am still bludging and will return ta serve the masses on the 27th January. Punters starting to harass me and banging on the front gate. Thanks! It is my son Lochie Jays 19th birthday today! I love him more than anything and he is my most treasured belonging. I remember when I was 19 and we are chalk and cheese. He is doing all that I wished for him and none of the stuff I used ta get up to. Different times I spose. Love ya Mate! Hear the Rads blaring out of his room sometimes so this is for him and me. Think I was about 19 when I saw them the first time in the back room of the Across the Waves club. Great Aussie pub band still. 17 ( I Wish I was 17 again) - The Radiators https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8S9KPoICDdg

14.01.2022 Da Boys! Go Queenslanders! Ra Ra Ra!

13.01.2022 Oi! I do a fair whack of work for all the classy women in town who own hair dressing salons. I know they are classy as they get me ta do their framing. Bleeding obvious aint it! Nella from La Vita salon just bought this really nice oil painting in. Her brother gave it to her as a pressie after he came back from France. I framed it with a nice classic moulding and added an inner frame which is the bright red fillet. It looks smashing. The woman in the painting is absolutely gorgeous as well as having a beautiful figure and she is all class. How do I know this you ask. I just know! I am very perceptive! Happy birthday Nella. 12.01.2022 Hey Ho! Hope you are all well! Just finished this job for the crew at Oodies Cafe. It is an old carry bag that was from "The Salad Bowl" which was located years ago at the premises where Oodies has just moved to recently. Us lads at 81 Gavin used to buy our veges and stuff from there in the late 80's early 90's. I have been here from 1988 and have seen Northside grow and change. Yes we got smashed 7 years ago during the floods but the place has gone from strength to strength ...since then. Plenty of people have invested time and money into businesses and property since then. It is a hive of activity and positivity. I feel great as Frameworks is humming along nicely right in the thick of it all. We have the Spotted Dog at Railway Hotel, Oodies Cafe and the great old The Globe Hotel within a block from our house. As well as heaps of all the other great little businesses that are popping up. I have always loved living here with the river 2 blocks away and the town Post Office only 1km from my driveway. So to all you punters out there who cross the creek from the big city to support us all, I thank you on everyones behalf. Cheers and have a bonza day, Dallas. 12.01.2022 Righto, Have started back doing my thing for 2021. Thanks again for all the support in the past year. Here we go with my first mad rantings for the year!! (I don't know why I write these life posts, I think it is like a cleansing experience putting pen to paper and I also do enjoy it.) Now as you get older, I am 54 this year, which is unbelievable as I still feel very young at heart and in pretty good knick, you do realize that you will not live forever and you start thinking... about your own mortality. You start seeing our parents and family pass and people you have grown up with. And not a day goes by when you don't hear of someone getting crook, dying from some horrid disease or even getting run down by some drug addled scum minding your own business walking your dog down the street . Now next year will mark my 30th year of running my framing business (which I also find unbelievable). Jules and I have, like most people have done what ya do early in life, you work, have a family, enjoy and experience life, save all ya cashola and try and pay off a house. We have done that and now I find myself thinking about the next stage of life. I have accomplished everything I have wanted to in life apart from heaps more travel. The one thing I have realized I do not have and money cannot buy is TIME! I am no longer going to open Mondays so I have a 3 day weekend and start doing more for Jules and I. I always have an abundance of work and I do feel I will become more productive in the 4 days I work knowing that I can have 3 days off. Also have the flexibility of doing a few hours at nights if I need. I am too young ta retire and really enjoy the creative aspect of my work and also the social interaction with all my clients so I shall continue doing what I do. I may even drop down to 3 days a week in a year or so. Or I could also follow my dreams of closing Frameworks and go stacking shelves at a supermarket for 20 hours a week at night. All the best and may you live long and prosper, Dallas. Blue Oyster Cult - Don't Fear The Reaper https://www.youtube.com/watch See more

10.01.2022 Hey Ho, Now I get quite a few framed items in and have to strip them and freshen them up. This is one of those. I forgot ta take a before photo so can you close your eyes and imagine it all filthy with horrid marked clear glass, a faded plain cream mat and a dinged up old walnut frame. Now open them and gaze upon it all nice and new with a V grooved double layered mat, Ultra clear glass and a fresh tropical lime green moulding!! Tra La! "Shweeet Mate" as Poida would say! ...Have a great weekend and enjoy the lovely cloud juice falling from the sky. I love it when it rains as you mob leave me alone which is great as I can get through heaps of work. Cheers, Dallas. Joan Armatrading - Me Myself I https://www.youtube.com/watch See more

09.01.2022 Oi! This framing gig is a dangerous operation. Mounting oversize artworks always makes me a wee bit anxious. And believe it or not I have actually stuffed a couple of things up over the years but not this one. But never fear my friends! With dogged determination, nerves of steel and the framing Gods with me I have conquered my quest. A very rare old Suzuki Katana silk print Dave bought from overseas. Mission accomplished with a sigh of relief. I need a cup of tea and nice lie... down now! Will knock up the frame this arvo and whack in a piece of clear acrylic stuff and straight ta the pool room! My Mum always says ta me be careful on my bikes. I always tell her I go 200klms an hour everywhere so I always get there quick safely. Always puts her mind at ease. Ride safely people, them thar motorcicles will kill ya dead. Regards,Dallas. Motörhead Killed By Death https://www.youtube.com/watch See more

08.01.2022 Now sometimes people bring in artwork that catches my eye and this is one. Greg has a mate who paints and told him to pick one of his paintings for a Bday gift. He said it said something to him also, like a cool record cover or such. Now it really spoke to me as dark and murderous. Like something heinous has just happened down the "dead end". Now maybe I just watch too many crime and serial killer docos but I do find them fascinating. Humans can do some wicked things. I find ...that spending my life in prison is not very appealing so I have kept my murderous rampages to a minimum. Mind you, I have met a couple of people over the years I would not mind taking for a one way trip out ta Pine Creek. 07.01.2022 Hey Ho, Hope you are all well! I am a busy boy as usual and am making headway through my work. Get one job done and three more come in though. As we know, I have said more than once that I do not associate myself with any particular gender apart from being an old fashioned screaming heterosexual Aussie male, I do appreciate that Elvis was an extremely good looking chap with talent to burn. And he liked cheeseburgers and fried chicken. I remember the day he died and Mum shedding a tear. I still enjoy his movies. Long live the King. Have a great day, Dallas. 04.01.2022 Hey, Here are some prints I just framed for Carly from Splitters Farm just outside of Bundy. They are setting up a large camping ground/farmstay on Splitters Creek. They have lots of animals so you can take ya kids out there and camp and have a look into a working farm. Another family putting their money up to start a business in our local area. Always a good thing. Now these 9 prints will be going into the glamping safari tents they are in the process of building. Thanks for ya business Carly, hope they look great and all the best on your venture. Regards, Dallas. Stray Cats - Runaway Boys https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RFVtlOxS_i4

04.01.2022 Och Aye, Tis I Fergus. On behalf of Jules, Dallas, Lochie Jay and my good self, I wish you all a fabulous Merry Xmas. Been a long year and we hope you enjoy a period of relaxation with family and friends. Dallas says ta say thanks for all ya support of our family business and spending ya hard earned cash with us. He never takes you mob for granted and is always appreciative of your support. I will have to bolt now as he is cooking up ham and eggs on the Weber. All the best and cheers to you all. Thanks again, All our love from Frameworks. Fergus.

03.01.2022 Busy busy boy I am! Right into it. Here are a couple of really top photos I just framed. Kathy took them in her travels on her trusty old camera. Outstanding "Captures" as the trendy people say nowadays. And a totally irrelevant "photo" of my cool dragster/chopper/ lowrider project I am building. My Mate "The Wizard" painted it up Cool Mint Green ta match my hardtop. And another good Mate Chris gave me some Skyway Tuffs (actually Satellite Maglites for us BMX purists). Got a cool white banana seat with silver flames, 20 inch apehangers, extended forks and a 3 foot sissy bar happening. I love my fun guy projects, they keep me happy and sane. It is why I work! And I like food. All good fun. Have a great day, Dallas. ICEHOUSE - Great Southern Land https://www.youtube.com/watch

02.01.2022 Well the Panthers went down but not without a fight apparently. This is a jersey I knocked up a couple of weeks ago for a local Lad. I have a feeling a few Storm jerseys will float in here in the next few weeks for the same treatment. Have a fab day, Dallas. Hitmen : I Don't Mind Bit more Aussie culture for yas all. ...
