25.01.2022 A Message From Bungaree Dental Therapy Centre. We are now open and beginning to see patients, and we are working our way through our waiting list. If your appointment was cancelled before the end of term one we will be contacting you shortly. If your child, or any member of your household is unwell with a fever, cold, flu or respiratory infection symptoms PLEASE CALL TO CANCEL YOUR APPOINTMENT. We are not able treat your child if they are unwell.... Please DO NOT arrive more than five minutes early for your appointment as we have limited space in our waiting room and must adhere to the four square metre rule as outlined by the government. With this in mind we also encourage all parents to call us on 9527 5658 with any enquiries rather than presenting at the clinic. This helps us to maintain the required social and physical distancing guidelines. Should you arrive at the clinic early, or present without an appointment, please understand you may be asked to wait outside if there are other patients and their carers inside the clinic. Thankyou for taking the time to read this message.

HOWEVER, you can still place your order, pay via bank transfer or cash, hand the form into the front office and the items will be sent to the students classroom as soon as payment has been confirmed. Order forms are available in the Connect library and on the school website. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

22.01.2022 Dear parent/carer I am writing to advise that our school has been invited to participate in researchthe WA Government is undertaking in partnership with Telethon Kids Institute. The research is part of DETECT: a larger study of particular groups in our community to determine the prevalence of COVID19 in Western Australia. Education has been prioritised for inclusion. Approximately 80 public schools across Western Australia will participate in the research. They represent a ...cross section of the community and include primary, secondary, education support, metropolitan and regional schools, and residential colleges. The study will be rolled out across schools over the next few weeks. Participation is voluntary and consent will be sought from staff and parents, as well as students for the psychosocial survey component. As part of the research, staff and students from 40 schools will be tested for COVID-19 at monthly intervals over a period of at least three months. These schools will be randomly selected by the researchers. All 80 schools will participate in the online survey component, providing information on how COVID-19 is impacting their physical, social and emotional wellbeing. All students, staff and parents would be encouraged to participate and TKI will work directly with schools. I will provide further information, including a fact sheet from TKI, and consent forms in the coming days. Our school’s involvement in this research will make a valuable contribution to better understanding the extent of COVID-19 in Western Australia and what measures are required to keep our communities safe during the pandemic. If you have any questions, please contact me on 95538400 for more information. Kind regards Sharon Albers-Smith Principal Bungaree Primary

15.01.2022 The Bungareeps Positive Behaviour Committee met this week and have decided to target Choosing Safety as their focus behaviour for the fortnight. The lesson is about arriving at school at the right time and behaving safely until the siren goes. The school day starts at 8.35am. When the children arrive at school they are being asked to sit quietly in the old undercover area until the first siren goes. ... Wet areas will be closed except for breakfast club and the Room 4 block so the younger children can access the toilets. We are implementing this due to the very high number of students who are arriving early in the morning. If you can drop your children of or you let them leave home closer to the siren that would be much appreciated. However we do understand that if you are working that is not always possible.
