22.01.2022 We are very excited to welcome Story Dogs to Bungaree Primary School! Manilla the labrador and her handler, Robyn, are having their first day with us at school today. This a special opportunity for students to build their confidence and enjoyment in reading and create some literary magic together. (Manilla whispered to us that she loves listening to books about dogs!)

20.01.2022 Remote Learning Wrap-up this week. Everyone has enjoyed our daily School Connections online, independent tasks and live literacy and numeracy workshops, an activity to express "Blooming Gratitude" at home, a matrix full of additional learning, and eating some creepy crawlies (yikes!) Phew, what a great week for all students, staff and families. Thank you everyone, for everything that you are doing to support our learning from home, #dis! Now, go and unplug for the weekend and we’ll see you all on Monday.

16.01.2022 Preparing a new generation of Bungaree lawn bowlers for you, Bungaree Bowling Club. A terrific PE unit!

16.01.2022 Caught in the act! There was a smile so huge that it went from ear to ear as Kainan planted his Spoonville character this afternoon. This was a great Art/The Resilience Project learning task at home this week. We can’t wait to see other wooden spoons joining our little Spoonville village, and invite decorated spoons from all around the district to join ours (respectful of COVID-19 requirements.) They’re in a spud box outside of Spiv’s Cottage - just look for Barry to guide you. We’re trying to help our kids catch smiles, not the virus, at Bungaree Primary School. Barry has been declared mayor of Spoonville ... he’s the perfect scarecrow to watch over our little village.

14.01.2022 By supporting SpringFest Ballarat, you’re supporting our local school as a community partner and beneficiary too. Please dig deep, buy a few raffle tickets (or maybe more ) Great prizes are up for grabs! Bungaree Primary School appreciates the wonderful support of Springfest in helping us to raise money to upgrade our Art Room/Kids Kitchen.... Good luck everyone, we hope we have some local winners

13.01.2022 To all the Dads and special blokes in our school community, Happy Father’s Day!

13.01.2022 You know we value and love creativity here at Bungaree- it's one of our school values. So this week in Art, students looked at the work of Swiss artist, Alberto Giacometti, for inspiration. He dabbled in painting and drawing, but is most known for his unique bronze sculptures. We were a little short on the ol' bronze as a medium to work with - but we had a lot of aluminium foil at home to use as a replacement. Enjoy our student art gallery!

13.01.2022 Another great online event for the whole family! https://facebook.com/events/s/virtual-tour-of-melbourne-zoos/764648324296949/?ti=icl

13.01.2022 We would like to send a big thank you to an anonymous friend of Bungaree Primary School, who has generously sponsored Manilla, our Story Dog, for the next 12 months. We are ever so grateful for your kindness and support! Manilla and her handler, Robyn, have been such a welcome distraction to things going on outside the classroom over the past year and a half. Our Junior students love the time that they can read to Manilla and Robyn each week. The children are calm, comforted... and supported in each session, and we are so thankful to have Robyn and Manilla in our circle of friends. Oh, and happy birthday for today, Robyn! Story Dogs #dis

01.01.2022 Today is RU OK?Day. It’s our national day of action when we remind Australians that every day is the day to ask, Are you OK? if someone in your world is struggling with life’s ups and downs. You don’t have to be an expert to keep the conversation going when someone says they’re not OK. By knowing what to say you can help someone feel supported and access appropriate help long before they’re in crisis, which can make a really positive difference to their life. A conversation... could change a life. Learn what to say after R U OK at www.ruok.org.au https://youtu.be/erHLP29tzPE
