18.01.2022 Michael and Narelle were excited to be approached by USQ students to record a short documentary about the work currently taking place throughout our broader communities. This documentary created an opportunity to share our vision, to increase the spotlight on mental wellbeing and share the scope for change. There have been many people we have met along this journey, each with their own stories, continuing to motivate us to drive change. 11.01.2022 What a great way to start the week! As some following out page would have seen, since Bunyarra commenced we have been purchasing pre paid coffee in cafes across our region. This has been done in an attempt to allow individuals to have the time to just sit down, take a breath, and take in the moment at no cost. Any way back to story. Upon talking to Jen at the Maidenwell Trading Post, I was informed they had given out all of my our paid coffee, and before I could offer to buy more I was informed, "and now we're matching it"! This is definition of community. This is working together, to help each other! 09.01.2022 There were certainly plenty of "blue shirts" on one of our worksites today. Michael was super excited to take both Narelle and Julie out for a "Counsellors are like pizza's " session. These sessions are so valuable, as they highlight how individuals can connect differently to varying personalities, and this connection is how real change can occur. We were excited to find out today that Bunyarra Counselling and Mediation were successful in winning the Bronze Award in the Roar Best Advocate for Mental Health awards 2021. It is a truly humbling feeling and honour. This image is from Friday night, when we managed to get most of the crew behind Bunyarra together for our community SMILE mental health gala. 48 hours lady and this crew are award winners for their dedication to mental health!
