22.01.2022 More Vertimowing this one was very spongy and required alot of mowing before we could Vertimow it, for a healthy lawn you should vertimow every 2-4 years. If your lawn has not been done for awhile or even never give Matt a call or send over a PM and we will come take a look. Thick, spongy lawns respond well to a Spring clean-up via vertimowing/dethatching. Vertimowing cuts vertically into the grass thatch layer which removing large amounts of thatch and water repellent orga...nic matter that accumulates as grass grows. Your lawn will at first appear decimated, yellow and even bald after a vertimow. It will quickly recover with a new generation of grass shoots through the surface, bouncing back with renewed vigour, colour and performance, especially through the warmest months.

08.01.2022 Vertimowing is the process to remove excessive thatch that collects near the surface of a lawn. Thatch can prevent up to 75% of water that is applied to a lawn ever reaching the root system. A thatched lawn will also suffer from having a scarred appearance when it is mowed. The best time to carry out this procedure is from October December on warm season grasses. Scarifying can be done every 2-4 years depending on how much thatch has built up.
