Together with the awesome guys at Deliveroo we would like to try and do a little something to give back to these amazing people, who are working tirelessly in our hospitals and clinics to stem the flow of illness that Australia is currently facing. We know its not much, but we'd like to provide a free delivered Burger Boss meal (to the value of $40) every night to a Doctor o...r Nurse who might not have the time to get to the shops and feed themselves after a super long, stressful shift. So please nominate a Doctor or Nurse by tagging them (with their permission) in the comments section of this post. We will randomly select one nomination every day and arrange for food to be delivered to them the following night. As much as wed love to make this state-wide, the nominated Doctor or Nurse will have to be within the Burger Boss Ascot Park delivery radius in order for us to get their meal to them, otherwise if they are outside the radius, they can come to the Ascot Park store and pick-up their takeaway order We would like to get the ball rolling by announcing the first recipients, Dr Anita & Julia, both of whom have been doing their part in providing care for people in need at this trying time. 21.01.2022 I think were all well overdue for a positive news story, so, without further ado, we are so incredibly privileged and honoured to announce the first recipient of a free BB meal is the AMAZING Indianne Oakes, a Registered Nurse on the absolute front line, doing her best every single day. Indianne, we know this tiny gesture is nothing compared to what you do for the people of this great State every single day, but we hope at the very least it puts a smile on your dial for a mo...ment. From the entire BB Crew and on behalf of everyone is SA, THANK YOU. Its so sobering that the first randomly selected recipient, a Doctor in the SA Health Care System was unable to accept their meal due to a possible recent exposure to COVID-19 which has required them to self-isolate for 14 days. Such was the resolve of this Doctor, that even the offer of a contactless delivery of BB was politely turned down, as they did not want to put anyone at risk in this critical time. So with that, Indianne Oakes has asked that we pass on this message: Please follow government advice, stay home and stay positive. Take care of yourselves and help us, help you These selfless and dedicated human beings are doing everything they can to protect each and every one of us, so let's all try and do the right thing and follow the advice that we are being given across the board. Finally, while we would love to be in the position to give away food to every single person that has been nominated, unfortunately thats just not possible at the moment. BUT how amazing is it that these people are being recognised through the nomination from their friends and loved ones. We are so happy that so much love and positivity has already come from this, so please, keep the nominations coming, and feel free to include a little message of appreciation and love to the person you nominate, were sure it will mean the world to them. We are here for you 7 days a week (yes, Ascot Park is now open 7 days a week) with Take-Away available in store and via phone orders, as well as deliveries through our delivery partners Deliveroo, and that other useless mob with the stupid name. ... Of course we appreciate that the health and wellbeing of the community is paramount at the moment, and we are doing our part in-store with increased cleaning, sanitisation and packaging procedures, but we do also need your support to ensure that we can keep our staff employed, our suppliers and stakeholders paid, and the economy moving as best we can. So, if you are scratching your head about what to eat, jump on our facebook page Burger Boss and click the SHOP tab to see our full menu, including our amazing and now not-so-secret menu. Pick up the phone and place your Takeaway order, which we can have ready for you in as little as 5 mins!
