21.01.2022 Hi all, Below is some information regarding this weekend. Please read. ... Sunday is a great day for the Burleigh Bears and one that everyone is looking forward to. Please look after each other throughout the day and enjoy yourselves. Like it or not we will all be under the public eye and as representatives of the Burleigh Bears will need to act appropriately. There will be zero tolerance for anyone whose behavior places the club in any embarrassing situation and discredits the club. Bus to Grand Final Below are the names of the people who have contacted us about catching the Burleigh players supporters bus to Suncorp Stadium If your name is not on the list unfortunately you will not be on the players bus. If your name is on the list and you are not attending please let Damian ( 0422663224) know so we can give the seat to someone else. All supporter buses are also full so anyone not on the list will need to get their own way to the game. There is free public transport with your prepurchased ticket. The bus leave will depart from the Change rooms at 12.30pm. Drinking on Bus You are able to bring some alcohol on the bus but the bus will need to be kept clean when departing the bus. Apparel Please wear as much Burleigh kit as possible to support the Bears. I have some Maroon wigs I will hand out Sunday if you are interested. Tickets Also anyone who hasn’t bought a ticket and wants to sit in the Burleigh section will need to do so by 12.00pm tomorrow. If you don’t pre purchase your ticket by tomorrow you may end up in a section of the ground not with Burleigh Supporters. 16.01.2022 Hey guys its Jules here. I know for most, finding work has been tough. Particularly those that have come from outside of the state, school leavers and those lacking qualifications. Heres an opportunity if you're looking and keen to get into some longterm employment.... NBN is rolling into Queensland in September and there is a shortage of skilled workers required. 15.01.2022 Am very sad today that our season has come to an end but also as I look back am very proud of what we achieved. I think we did pretty bloody good considering the massive number of players we had to use to get 17 fit ones on the field each week so hold your heads up high boys. Speaking of the number of players I just want to say that for me personally it has been a pleasure and a privilege to have been involved with each and every one of you. You are all fine young men and yo...ur families should be very proud of you. Big thanks to Jules, Col, Carly, Brownie, Wade & Gregor for all your help and for making the season so enjoyable and special mention to Deano for the huge amount of blood, sweat & tears he invested in to this team. As we worked together for most of the season I more than most saw how much effort and time he put in every single week. I'm sure his family will be happy to have their Dad back. Jeff

12.01.2022 I know most of you are out enjoying yourself but I just wanted to thank you for your efforts and support this year. Whilst it's been an interesting season to say the least using 45 players, it's been great to meet and interact with each and every one of you. I am more than positive that many of you guys will move onto bigger and better things and hope you enjoyed your time this year.... As much as I won't be officially involved next season, my promise (and Julius') to always be there for you still applies so please don't hesitate to contact either of us in the future... 01.01.2022 Hi Boys, So this is where we stand.... We are in 5th spot and Souths Logan need to beat us by over 50 points next week to take our spot in the finals.... Therefore we play them, and all going well Norths the week after. We have Fred, Stratto (Jenko) and Kalk back from here on and possibly Tyler too so, as staff, we have some really tough decisions to make as good players are going to miss out. So please make sure we up the ante at training this week as we now hit the business end of the season we need to find another gear. I still haven't seen a team we can't go with so why not dream big and make the most of this opportunity. See you boots on ready to find another level on Tuesday! Deano
