20.01.2022 Just a reminder for everyone to be alert whilst driving during these unusual times we are in. There may be less traffic on the roads but accidents can still happen, it only takes that second or so that you take your eyes off the road. Stay safe out there.

18.01.2022 Be on the lookout for this ute, let’s see if we can track this vehicle down as nearby Glendaruel CFA station was broken into.

15.01.2022 Its Spring now it’s time to prepare your property for the fire danger period Landowners and tenants should be preparing their properties well before the start... of the Fire Danger Period. A lot of things can be done in the garden and around the home to improve the chances of surviving the impact of a bushfire or fast moving grassfire. Now is the time to clean up leaves, twigs, bark and long grass around the home and farm properties as fires cannot be lit in the open air during the Fire Danger Period without a written permit from CFA or a Municipal Fire Prevention Officer. During the pre- Fire Danger Period clean up, if you plan to burn those piles of fallen branches, bark and leaves, call the VicFire Burn-off notification line on 1800 668 511 to avoid an unnecessary fire brigade callout. Once the Fire Danger Period has been declared in your municipality by CFA, lighting a fire in the open without a permit can attract a penalty of $17,000 and 12 months imprisonment. There are even greater restrictions for Total Fire Ban days due to the greater risk of fire. To view or download the Can I or Can’t I brochure, go to the CFA website www.cfa.vic.gov.au or call 1800 226 226 See more

14.01.2022 Burnbank CFA would like to reassure the greater community that the changes coming into effect under the new fire services reform at 0800am 01/07/2020 will not impact our station or delivery of services.

10.01.2022 Earlier this week in the early hours of the morning a property in the Burnbank area was broken into. Plus around the same time a Ute was seen loitering in the Evansford area. If you were up and about around 4am on Tuesday 8th and saw some thing, please report it to the police on crime stoppers. If you see any other suspicious activity please report it to police on 000 or the crime stoppers number below. Lets work together to keep our district safe.

07.01.2022 If many of you are off camping this weekend here’s a reminder!
