15.01.2022 We had a very exciting meeting last night, which included fancy hats and time travelling news reporters. We also had several project speeches which covered leadership, communication and a wedding toast. All made possible by Zoom.

15.01.2022 Our meetings are still going, catch us on Zoom next Wednesday. We have an incredible 5 speeches! The theme for the meeting is "LOUD" , join us to see what eyecatching props and visual displays our members use to make their speeches louder.

14.01.2022 2020 is definitely the year for firsts! The TM International Convention will be held online for the first time, running from 24 - 29 August 2020. You can register for free to watch online - live (if youre a night owl) or 'on demand' at a time that suits you. You can access a whole bunch of education sessions and learn from the best of the best as they face off for the World Championship of Public Speaking.

Competing takes courage but to progress this far is an amazing achievement, particularly as Christina only recently joined Toastmasters. Details to come re the D17 contest.

10.01.2022 Last nights meeting was a cracker!! Members enjoyed inspirational quotes on life, a new members ice breaker speech about living in Australia with her pet husky, an educational talk on conflict resolution...oh and who can forget the tea, lamingtons and strawberries during the break.

09.01.2022 We were thrilled to have EFT Practitioner Katie Walker present last meeting on the benefits of tapping. Tapping can help relieve negative feeling and body sensations from stressful situations, including that dreaded moment we're about to speak in public! Katie's page has a lot of helpful videos, and we'll be sure to get her back for another presentation soon.

06.01.2022 It was a privilege to have a guest presentation on Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) at last nights meeting. EFT has such a broad use in relieving specific stress and anxieties, and was very appropriate for both public speaking nerves and the difficult situation the world is facing at present. Sadly, last night was our last physical meeting until further notice as the club will be adopting the online communication platform Zoom to undertake meetings for the time being. Next meeting remains in a fortnight; more information to come!

We are very lucky to have a guest speaker with a presentation on EFT and tapping techniques, which may be really useful for anyone feeling stress or anxious about the current state of things. Precautions will be put in place to reduce the risk of transmission of COVID-19. We kindly ask any members or guests who are feeling ill or have been in contact with others who are ill, to please refrain from attending tonights meeting. More information to come regarding a move to online meetings.
