19.01.2022 SHOUTOUT POST The Burnie Hurricanes would like to extend the most grateful thanks to our long-time serving uniform partner, Icon Sports. They have, once again, gone above and beyond for us and we could not be more proud to be partnered with them. In what was quite an unfortunate series of events, one of our senior mens players had his kit bag stolen from his car one Saturday night in Invermay. With everything from spikes, bats, playing uniform and everything else in the bag, ...he was left with essentially nothing to play with. After contacting Icon, they were quick to the rescue and were able to supply this player with a kit, inclusive of a bat, gloves, pads and guards to allow our player to resume the season. An incredible offer of generosity that will certainly not be forgotten by our club and our members. THANK YOU Icon Sports.

Wickets went to; L Roberts 4 D Costelloe 2 S Redman 1 N Simms 1 A great hit out for us to warm into the season with round 1 only 4 weeks away!

08.01.2022 Saturday saw two young men make their First Grade Debut with the Burnie Hurricanes. George Davies and Ryan Bentley were both very proudly handed their Baggy Purples by team Captain, Nick Revell, before our game against Wynyard kicked off. George, who made a crucial 25 (40) in the middle ov...ers, got off the mark 3rd ball with an elegant back-foot drive through the covers. Ryan, whilst pitching in with 11 (15) at the back of of the innings took an ever so important catch during our bowling session. We look forward to seeing what both Ryan and George will bring to our club over the years to come. It is clear that their futures are bright.
