06.01.2022 Burnie Surf Club members were called in to assist in the recovery of a capsized boat this afternoon. With the assistance of another recreational boat, three recreational anglers and their dog safely made it to shore after their boat took on water and overturned at the mouth of the Emu River. Never have those words been so true after one of the Nutri-Grain IronMan / IronWoman Series hopefuls chose to abandon he...r race to help a fellow competitor during the IronWoman Series trial in Kingscliff yesterday. Ella Brown from Maroochydore demonstrated how rescue ready the IronWomen and IronMen are, stopping mid-race when she saw fellow competitor Lilly O’Sullivan in trouble. 01.01.2022 TASMANIAN 10KM CHAMPIONSHIPS CANCELLED! Regrettably, the Tasmanian 10km Kayak Championships, scheduled to take place at Lake Barrington on Sunday, November 22, ...have been cancelled. This is due to recent changes to Rowing Tasmania’s events calendar resulting in the unavailability of the venue at a suitable time. Please pass on to all interested parties.
