25.01.2022 A massive CONGRATULATIONS to our very talented and athletic boss, Rita, on competing in and completing the 70.3 Ironman on the Sunshine Coast over the weekend. 1.9km ocean swim, 90km bike ride and 21.1km run (half marathon) and managed to cross the finishing line with big bright smile. Your determination and dedication to training all year, 6 days a week with 4am starts is inspiring

25.01.2022 A professional dental clean is an essential component of maintaining good oral hygiene. Even people with good home oral hygiene habits will develop calculus (hardened plaque). Once this happens, you will be unable to remove it with your regular toothbrush. The calculus needs to be removed with special instruments before it causes any more damage! Check out Burpengary Dental's top 5 reasons to get regular professional dental cleans.
25.01.2022 Burpengary Dental will be closed Monday for the public holiday but we will be back first thing Tuesday morning for all of your dental needs. Have a good weekend everyone

With a preventative focus in mind, be sure to schedule your annual clean with one of our fantastic dentists!... ______________________________________ www.burpengarydental.com 3888 3777 See more

22.01.2022 Whether you choose red, white or rosé, drinking wine will soften your enamel due to the high amounts of acid. As if cheese doesn't already pair perfectly with wine, cheese also prevents acid from destroying your tooth enamel. Most tooth-friendly cheeses include; Aged: Cheddar, Monterey Jack Soft-ripened: Brie, Camembert Blue Cheese: Gorgonzola, Roquefort
21.01.2022 DENTAL HEALTH WEEK! How much sugar is hiding in your trolley? Let's talk fruit juice, sports drinks and soft drinks... Do yourself and your kids a favor and keep them out of your regular grocery shop. Sugary drinks are energy-dense, nutrient-poor and bad for teeth.... Did you know: an Australian study found that kids who have daily sugary drinks have 47% more decayed, missing and filled teeth than children who don't. For more information on sugar and dental health week, visit https://www.ada.org.au//Ora/You-are-what-you-eat-and-drink

19.01.2022 This is the way we will be operating next week.
19.01.2022 Stay hydrated during the heatwave this week! We are up for some sweaty days and nights with temperatures 5 degrees over average.. H2O is the only way to go! Dehydration causes dry mouth which means any sugary drinks you have (including sports drinks) will stick to your teeth causing bacteria and cavities!
19.01.2022 Only 3 weeks left before EOFY! To get the most out of your health fund, check when your benefits reset as many health funds renew at the end of financial year! 19.01.2022 Added sugar is the single worst ingredient in the modern diet. Eating too much sugar is linked to weight gain and various diseases like obesity, type 2 diabetes and heart disease. And don't forget about the damage to your teeth! #rethinksugarydrink #rethinksugar ____________________________________________ www.burpengarydental.com... 07 3888 3777 See more

We would like to assure you that we are taking measures to adapt to the current Covid-19 government guidelines and we are closely monitoring the situation. We have put health and safety procedures and protocols in place to protect our patients, employees and families. These include; 1. Recommending emergency treatment only including; toothaches, broken teeth and fillings and we ask our patie...nts to postpone their general clean until further notice. 2. We are CASHLESS! EFTPOS only. 3. Patients are screened with a health checklist via the phone upon appointment booking and upon arrival. 4. We advise where possible for only the patient being treated to attend the appointment to avoid large groups in the waiting area: magazines have been temporarily removed and all hard surfaces are frequently sanitised. 5. Rescheduling of appointments for patients who have recently returned from overseas, patients who have been in contact with a confirmed Coronavirus and patients who are experiencing flu/virus symptoms. 6. Hand sanitiser is readily available for patients upon arrival and highly recommended. 7. Our employees have been protected with personal protection equipment such as gloves, masks, hand sanitiser, disinfectant wipes and protective aprons. 8. Staff are completing courses for specific Covid-19 infection control guidelines. Please be assured that your health and safety along with that of our employees is our number one priority and we are doing all that we can to ensure that everyone is protected while still delivering our health services. We would like to thank all our patients for your cooperation and understanding in this time. We hope you are all safe and dont forget to wash your hands!
15.01.2022 DENTAL HEALTH WEEK! How much sugar is hiding in your trolley? Did you know: 73% of young people (14-18 years) are consuming too much sugar and 47% of adults (18+ years)!... Recommended daily sugar intake: The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends that adult sugar intake be equal to 5% of your daily total energy intake (kJ) to decrease your risk of developing tooth decay as well as other health benefits. For the average adult, this equates to 6 teaspoons (equal to 24 grams) of free sugar per day. What to look for on the food label: It is best to look for foods with 5g or less sugar per 100g. Between 5g and 10g is okay also. If a product has over 15g of sugar per 100g, it may be best to find a healthier alternative.

09.01.2022 Have you ever wondered what root canal treatment looks like? Root Canal Treatment is needed when the blood or nerve supply of the tooth (pulp) is damaged due to decay or injury. The alternative to RCT is the extraction of the tooth. Once the pulp is damaged, it cannot heal without treatment and it is not recommended to leave an infected tooth in the mouth as it can lead to painful dental abscesses, facial swelling and continued bone loss around the root of the tooth. ________...________________________________________________________ 3888 3777 See more
