14.01.2022 Thank you to our students, parents, staff and wider school community for your understanding during these unprecedented times. The last few weeks have been difficult, with many meetings and discussions held about upcoming events. As you may have seen in the newsletter we are going ahead with events such as Presentation Night, Formal and Week 9 Excursions however they will be in a different format than previous years due to Covid restrictions. - Reception and Year 7 Transition ...Day on Monday will continue as scheduled. - Presentation Night has been kept on the same day (Thursday, December 3rd), although it will be held at 2pm in the afternoon and conclude at 3:20pm. Due to Covid restrictions it will only be for students, year 12 and Governing Council parents. We are currently working with the Department to ensure we can film it for parents that are not able to be there. - Pupil Free Day this coming Friday December 4th - Formal has been rescheduled to Thursday, December 10th at 7pm-10pm in the Drama Room at BCS. Due to Covid restrictions we are unable to have it in its normal format at the Town Hall, however we have been able to make it work by holding it at the school. Year 11/12's will be helping staff to set up and organise the event during week 9. This will now be a free event, therefore students who have already paid for a ticket will be reimbursed on Monday from Mr Millward. - Week 9 will go ahead as planned at this stage. With all scheduled excursions to continue. Staff at BCS are dedicated to ensuring events go ahead in line with Covid restrictions and are altering things due to the limitations. We continue to put our students interests and wellbeing first, ensuring that if an event can happen we will do our utmost to ensure it goes ahead. We thank you for your continual understanding in what has been a difficult year. Notes will go home this week about the upcoming events.
