22.01.2022 Recently it was announced that we would be able to have 1000 people attend the Petrogas Burrumbeet Cup on New Year’s Day. We have also lodged an application for a permit to host 1500, at this stage we have not had this permit approved. Now that we have approval for 1000 people on course we can confirm that Owners, Members and Sponsors will all be allocated tickets first and the remaining tickets will be sold as packages and will go on sale during the week. As you can all imagine, the race day will not be the same and there will be a number of our usual attractions not happening. We will post more details tomorrow.

21.01.2022 Race Presentations

21.01.2022 We have received news that our permit has been approved to host 1500 patrons on race day. However we are not going to be able to adjust the packages that we have for sale. This is due to a number of reasons that are just beyond our control. We would love to be able to sell individual tickets, but this is just not possible under the current environment and the late notice of having our permit approved. Unfortunately the only tickets available continue to be umbrella packages. Once these sell out there will be no other tickets available. Once again we apologise to everyone that this does not suit, but under the current conditions we are trying to do the best we can to have this event proceed. https://country.racing.com//2021-0/petrogas-burrumbeet-cup

Trainers, jockeys, stable staff, stewards and racing industry staff will continue to operate in a ‘bubble’ and will remain seperate from the crowd. This also requires a 3metre exclusion zone around the horse stalls, horse race, mounting yard and race track. Patrons will not be allowed to stand along the home straight fence or mounting yard. When queuing is required during the day, please use appropriate social distancing. Everyone should continue to practise good hygiene at all times including the use of sanitiser. We know that the 2021 Petrogas Burrumbeet Cup will not be the same as we have all grown to expect. But we must operate under the rules and guidelines as set out by the government. We hope everyone understands the difficulties of running an event in the current climate and we look forward to making the most of the day. We know that it will not be possible for everyone to attend and for that we are truly disappointed. Thank you to everyone for your continued support and we can’t wait to get back to a ‘normal’ Petrogas Burrumbeet Cup.
