25.01.2022 Im so proud of the staff at Councils new Customer Service Centre and Library and the Enfield Aquatic Centre. Their hard work to get these public places open and safe for our community has been a great achievement. Its been wonderful to welcome so many people to these facilities. Weve had 3,000 visitors to the new Council and Library since 24 August, while 2700 lap swimmers and 456 Learn to Swim students have hit the pool since July. While its great that our community can access these services, we still need to keep up our COVID practices and stay vigilant. #Burwoodcouncil #Burwoodlibrary #newBurwoodlibrary #EnfieldAquaticCentre #CovidsafeBurwood

21.01.2022 Social media is a great way for us to stay connected and share important news and information. Unfortunately, not all information on the internet is accurate especially when it comes to COVID-19. This can lead to harmful outcomes. Please take care before you share any information that lands in your feed. When it comes to COVID, the best way to know if information is accurate is to check the NSW Health website http://bit.ly/nswhealthburwood #burwoodcares

18.01.2022 Today I had the privilege of meeting up with some of our businesses and Jodi McKay MP to wish them a Happy Moon Festival, also known as Mid-Autumn Festival. It is a tradition that is over 3,000 years old and is celebrated during harvest time on the full moon, which is the 15th day of the eighth month in the Chinese lunar calendar. It has also become a tradition for Burwood to host an annual Moon Festival event in Burwood Park but unfortunately due to COVID-19, not this year. As it is a time for coming together, I hope you enjoy celebrating the Moon Festival with family and friends eating mooncakes and looking up at the night sky.
