25.01.2022 Are Uber and Lyft destroying the sustainability of public transit? #movingpeople #sustainabletransport #publictransport #accessibility #rideshare #mobility http://ow.ly/Aa7m30nxblK

25.01.2022 Public transport is the lifeblood of our cities. It’s desirable to keep services running as long as possible. To limit COVID-19 risks on PT we can learn from efforts overseas, particularly China #publictransport #bus https://tinyurl.com/ucokcj9

25.01.2022 More buses are needed to ease future Adelaide traffic congestion, with public transport use across Adelaide forecast to grow by almost a third by 2031. The August 2019 Australian Infrastructure Audit suggests that expanding Adelaides bus network, instead of building more tram lines, would better cater for the citys growth. We strongly support this. Public transport works best when integrated and feeding frequent trunk routes. An expanded bus network would benefit all.

25.01.2022 Good advice if youre planning on travelling today... Keep to shaded areas while waiting for buses, trains or trams, drink plenty of water and give consideration to vulnerable passengers including the elderly. Take care and avoid travelling during periods of extreme heat when possible.

23.01.2022 Food for thought at the BIC conference 2019... Why do regional mobility trials fail? John Nelson, Chair in Public Transport at the Institute of Transport & Logistics Studies (USyd) had this to say:... 1. The project needs a user- centred rationale in the first place 2. There must be strong requirements and strategy in place 3. It needs broad marketing and communications to get engagement 4. Solid monitoring and evaluation processes need to implemented. What do you think? #publictransit #bic #movingpeople #pt #bus #bicconference #busconference #publictransport #bicconference

19.01.2022 Social isolation and mobility issues are a scourge of our times - improving public transportation in Adelaide is a must. We need investment in the existing metropolitan network, and the citys through corridors need attention. https://tinyurlWEcom/rq95tuo

08.01.2022 An interesting read that supports our calls to expand Adelaides bus network and better integrate public transport structures. Infrastructure Australia has recently released public transport and traffic projections for 2031. Some of the predictions: Drivers on Adelaides most used roads will spend around 60% of their trip in congested traffic. Our buses will be 31% busier. The annual cost of road congestion (including lost productivity) to hit $2.6 billion. Many of Adelaides roads will be operating over their design capacity. #bus #publictransport #infrastructure #adelaide

05.01.2022 BusSA believes that last mile solutions such as those proposed by the SA Government need to be trialled first. Its the only way to find out how users will respond. We would prefer to see government investment in feeder services rather than parking - it would do more to decrease congestion. However any investment to encourage public transport use is good investment! #publictransport #buses #adelaide #lastmile #movingpeople
